POR or POFQ?

Hi, I will have a 14 year old when going to Disney, myself, and DH. Wanted to save some money this year so I am pretty sure it would be between these 2 resorts. We have stayed once at both resorts, but not in quite a while. Can anyone give their own opinions and pros and cons of the 2 resorts in recent years? Also, if you didn't or don't care for these 2 resorts, any other moderates or value choices would be helpful. Thanks!!

We love the intimate size of the resort, the water taxi to Downtown Disney, as well as the atmosphere of this resort make it a favorite of ours.

We love POFQ -

* small size, allows you to get anywhere in POFQ quickly.
* boat to dtd, relaxing and enjoyable.
* theme, we enjoy just sitting on a bench watching our DS play on the playset
* fountains, there are in and outside
* counter service, easy and fresh
* dining area, love the tv, lego and coloring area
* bus service, first on thus first off
* pool, great slide!
* close to POR and DTD, for table service food, boat rental, etc.

I'm taking her up on her advice and staying at POFQ!!!! I'm taking my 17DD and her 17DBFF... Which I think we will have a blast. I think the girls will love it.

You and your daughter and her best pal will absolutely LOVE French Quarter!! It really is one of my all time favorites. I'd stay at FQ over Grand Floridian any day of the week and twice on Sunday!!!

If you're going during a time when you plan to use the pool, I'd think your 14-yr-old would be disappointed in the pool at POFQ. We visited there and my older son thought it looked "babyish" compared to the pool where we were staying at CSR. My kids are daredevils, though, and the bigger, higher and faster something is, the better it is, to them!

We've not stayed at POR or CBR to compare, but between POFQ and CSR, we prefer CSR.
