I have POR for Oct but if I get a good AP rate we might try the CR. I am not a big of the CR but if the rate is good it could change my mind just due to the location to MK...but since POR looks so lovely is there a reason besides being near MK that I should choose CR over POR? What do you think..stay with POR & save some $ or go with CR? Thanks all!

Sorry this is so long...

Our family loves both the CR and POR, but for two different reasons...

CR seems so go, go, go! Especially when you are staying in the tower and the monorail and restaurants are just a short elevetor ride away. We love the amount of room space you get with your extra money (A key when we had five staying in the room) and we actually like the decor (the hidden mickeys in the bed spread, the fun colors every where). We also like the garden wings for a close to MK, but more serene feel next to bay lake. All that being said, we usually will not stay at the CR unless we can get a 20%+ discount (like our upcoming trip were disney sent a postcard for 40% off room rates to comeback for the happiest homecoming on earth, thank you disney :cool1: )

POR just surrounds you with its theme, which the CR just doesn't seem to pull off (unless you consider a vibrant city a theme in the tower). The ambiance that this resort has makes us feel that we are staying at a deluxe for a moderate price, yet are reminded that we are staying in a moderate with the size of the room (this really is our only problem with moderates, we want a little more room to breathe).

Now all this is from the adult's view, the kids had to say this "CR is closer to Mickey" and they like the waterslide at the CR more than ole man island, but they like the surrey bikes at POR. I don't think that you can go wrong with your choice since our family loves both, and unfortunately comes down to a $$$ issue. Hope this helps

I'm a big CR fan for the location to MK and with little ones I cannot stress enough how amazingly great that is! It's SO convenient to run back to the room for a break or a change of clothes or whatever. I love the views.

I feel like I'm in the heart of Disney when I'm there. In the center of the action. I just can't explain it.

If you are in the Tower and have a MK view, it's just breathtaking.

I LOVE that at the end of the day, I can walk back to my room instead of fighting the crowds at the bus and monorail.

Anyone else? More opinions please. Thanks!
