POR or CBR

We are going down to Orlando to spend a long weekend visiting wdw and Clearwater. We will have a rental car so we are looking to get an AP discount at either CBR or POR. We have a one-year-old who loves the water he will be 16 months when we go.

We have previously stayed at GF, BLT, AKV kidani, BC and CSR.

I love the looks of the pool for my little guy at CBR but I have read and heard some not-so-stellar reviews of the rooms.

Our other option is POR. I like the resort but the kiddie pool looks pretty simple.

Anyone stay at both and have a preference?

I stayed at both resorts and they are both very nice. Car beach is a Hugh resort the rooms are a little bit bigger but they have full size beds not queen the resort is cheaper than PO with A P. PO is a smaller quiet resort more expensive C.B.R. but it has queen size beds which I like. You can also use P.o. riverside which is a big resort. If I have my choice I would stay at port Orleans French quarter, riverside is also nice

I've stayed at both CBR and POR and POR wins hands down to me. CBR is HUGE. There is an a resort shuttle, on top of the regular buses. The pool at CBR is excellent, but the rooms need updating badly. I also very much disliked the food court at CBR. POR just went through a refub, so the rooms are queen beds now and look amazing. POR also has the best food court in WDW IMO. POR has a good pool, not quite as good as CBR, but it's still a very nice pool. Also the boat to DTD is awesome and Yeeha Bob in the lounge at night is awesome. I would go for POR.

We like both CBR and POR, but with the recent refurbs, I'd recommend POR by a nose.
