Would you prefer POR or CBR for a family of 5? The 3 kids will be 8, 5, and 3. Thank you!

We have considered both, but have always ended up at CBR (3 times in 3 years). Right now honestly the food at POR looks better to me, but I like the theming at CBR better. Both are large-ish resorts that get positive and negative reviews due to size, buses, etc. So ultimately I think it may come down to what theming you prefer. We walked around POR and it was nice and had the perk of the boat to DS. However we like the pool at CBR better.

Can't believe I am saying this (was never a fav but probably #2 now of moderates) but I would go with CBR.

- The pool is great for their age, so much better than POR.
- Newer room renovations, hearing some POR bad reviews.
- All new dining options.
- Skyliner.
- Beautiful resort but I would consider Preferred for closer to main stuff.
- No dogs.

With the skyliner, I'd say CBR. We stayed at POR and it was fine, but not our favorite. Never stayed at CBR, but it seems like a great family resort.

I suggest watching a few videos on youtube to see which one appeals to your family more.

We have stayed at both POR and POFQ and love them both. Our favorite now is POFQ, but unfortunately the max is 4 people. I would suggest POR, it is beautiful and we love the boat to DS. With this said, we have never stayed at CBR, or even been through it. Tough call. Either way you'll have a fantastic time! lol

I haven’t stayed at POR lately, but have read some not so flattering reviews about room condition. We just booked POFQ for an adults stay.

We stayed at CBR last fall and I was apprehensive as it does not seem to be many people’s favorite resort. We loved it and would not hesitate to go back. The rooms were very nice and we loved being able to park very close to the room. The bus service was very good, we were in the Martinique section which is, or at least was, the first bus stop and first drop off point. There were a couple of times that the bus filled up fairly quickly and had to drive on past people waiting for it. I’m sure those folks wouldn’t say that the bus service was good! Excellent main pool.

We especially loved the spread out tropical feel of the resort with lots of pretty vegetation and walking paths. I’m sure if Disney was building it today with land at a premium, it would be a high rise!
