POR or AKL?

Looking at the spring discount, it is a 300.00 difference to stay at AKL resort view vs. POR. It is me, DH and DD (13). We have one day at MK, one at AK, and two at Seaworld/DC. We have two evenings where we would like to eat dinner at DS. Sanaa is one of our favorite restaurants and we love animals.
POR- pros- Boat to DS, lovely walking grounds (AKL seems more confined?), cheaper, fifth sleeper (I am a blanket hog and on vacation, sometimes we like to sleep on separate spaces, but too small?)
cons- loud AC, busy hot tub, far walk to amenities (but I requested a room that is closer and we don't mind walking)

AKL- pros- animals, Sanaa, quiet AC, balcony, more options for swimming/hot tubs?, atmosphere
Cons- long hallways, pricier

Even with white noise, I am a light sleeper. Sleep is most important on trip, hence the AC concern.

I am leaning towards keeping POR due to proximity to DS. How are busses from AKL to DS? Or we could uber, I suppose. TIA!

Would you MK day fall on an Extra Evening Hours day for MK and would you want to use that? If so, AKL is the only way to get that between the two choices.

If you wouldn't use the EEH, then of your choices I'd go with POR. Though if it were me, I'd stay Value before Moderate since there is no ticket difference between the 2. Though if I were going Mod I'd do CBR or CSR. I'm just not a fan of the themeing at either of the PO resorts.

Ok, thank you! Coronado is desert (not a fan of that, and tower rooms are too costly). CBR looks nice but is sold out.

Vote for AKL here, if you can afford it. The animals, the dining options, the balcony, the proximity to DAK. The bus ride from AKL to MK is about the same amount of time as the bus ride from POR to MK.

POR is closer to DS than AKL is, so if DS is a significant part of your trip, then you might want to consider that.

I don't consider the long hallways at AKL to be all that long. I've stayed there a lot (in the past, before the rates skyrocketed) so perhaps it's just very familiar to me, but, really, I don't think they're a big deal.

Other negatives of POR: multiple internal bus stops and some of the buildings don't have elevators. But, yes, there's a lot of outside area, including walking to POFQ, for strolling or running or walking.

There are not, I'm sorry to say. But I walk every morning, even at WDW, and I've walked at AKL, between AKL and AKV, and it's definitely doable, but it's not a walking trail per se. There are certainly better walking trails at POR. When I stay at POFQ, I walk between POR and FQ every morning--a beautiful walk by the river and through the winding paths at POR.

I don't suppose POFQ is a choice for you? I prefer it there. It's a much smaller resort, has only one bus stop (every once in a blue moon they share with POR, but it's rare), and the rooms are all newly renovated.

DD liked the look of the AB rooms and that was her choice. She said POFQ looked too "boring/old lady" haha.

Has she seen the renovated FQ rooms? Not at all boring. BTW, the Alligator Bayou buildings are the ones without elevators.
