I am wondering, which mansions are 2 story and which are 3 story? DH would be a bit annoyed if we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs at the end of each long day.

Also, do you prefer the mansions or bayou rooms and why? From checking out pictures, I like the landscaping of the Bayou section, but I think I like the more elegant look at the Mansions rooms.

Decisions, decisions...

I prefer the mansion. They are very elegant. You should pick which one you like. DO you want to stay rustic or elegant?

I think Parterre Place has sections with 2 floors and maybe arcadia house. All mansions have elevators. So you wouldn't have to climb up 2 flights of stairs.

I know that Patrierre Place (sp?) is 3 floors in its center. The 4 arms that extend out from the center are 2 floors. The elevator for the 3 floors is in the center of the building. We were in one of the arms so it was faster and easier to use the stairs.

I am unsure whether the other mansions have this 3/2 design. Anyone...? :)

If stair climbing is an issue for you then don't request AB. All of the bldgs are 2 stories and none of them have elevators.

The rooms are a very rustic theme. The bedposts look like they were chewed by beavers.

The mansions have elevators. Parterre Place has some three story sections as well as two story sections. The biggest benefit to the Alligator Bayou buildings are the trundle beds.

Acadian House also has 2 story sections. Why not just request a ground floor room, wherever you choose to stay?

The thing is, being on the 2nd story is not a big deal. We can deal with a flight of stairs. But I didn't know there were elevators, which would make the 3rd floor a lot more bareable. There might even be a nicer view from that level.

I don't want to overdo it on the requests, after all nothing is guaranteed. I want a corner room for the two windows, and I will request a certain building. I dont want to request too many things and get my hopes up.

The corner rooms are actually the hardest to get. We requested it is AB but didn't get it. Funny thing was, that we didn't request one in CBR and got a corner room! We did find that it being next to the steps that it was somewhat louder, though!

Wow, I didn't know that corner rooms were that hard to get. We had one and we didn't even request it. It was really nice to have the two windows.

I know Magnolia Terrace is 3 floors at least in the middle, but there is an elevator available. It seems to me that all of MT is 3 floors, as I was on the 3rd floor, middle, but I think I could walk all around. And although there was an elevator, I used to take the stairs-loved that big, sweeping staircase. But maybe it's not so appealing if you have little ones and a stroller.
