POR Mansions - best building

We are staying at POR in dec & I think we would like to stay in the Mansions. What do you recommend as the best building & why? When can I request this thru Disney?

I would think you could fax in your request any time now for Dec. We stayed at POR and loved it. We were in Oak Manor which is close to the main building and food court, the main bus stop and close to a quiet pool. Magnolia Terrace is close to the main pool and very close to the east bus depot but a little farther to the food court. All of the buildings have parking behind them in case you will be driving. The Manor side has bridges to get to the main building and pool so I would request Oak Manor, near the quiet pool and that would put you pretty close to everything. If smoking is an issue for you, I think Magnolia Terrace used to be a smoking building and they only switched over in June so those rooms might still smell if you are sensitive to that.
