POR last refurbished??

We are going in September and I was wondering how the rooms were and if they needed refurbishment. Anyone know when they were last done??

I just returned from POR in April. Staying AB, Building 18. Loved it. Rooms were great ... no problems whatsoever! The food court had just reopened and it's seems alot more spacious now too.

They were refurbed about 4 years ago. Love POR!

My family and I stay at POR every time we go to Disney. (About 8 times in a row now)

The rooms were refurbished last about 3 to 4 years ago and they are in no need of any more. The food court was also just refurbed recently. The hotel is so beautiful. I would recommend building 15 or 14 in Aligator Bayou because it is near everything. The food court, the pool, the bikes, the arcade, the lobby, the busses, etc. Have fun wherever you choose.

I have 2 questions for all you POR experts
1. How is the bus transportation?
2. We are going during Christmastime and wanted to know if the resort fells 'Christmasy"?

Only used the buses five years ago. We rented a car after that. The busing is what it is. It's fine, but we like to have control and rent a car.

The lobby will be decorated for Christmas. I find the lobby very pretty.

When I was there March spring break (March 24-April 1), the buses were great. No wait longer than 10 minutes going to any park, even the early morning breakfast bus to AK. Coming back on the buses, the lines could be a little long. My DS(6) fell asleep waiting in line. I had to carry him on the bus, put him on my lap, and then carry him all the way to the room, including stairs! But in all honesty, I don't have any complaints.
