We are hoping for FD promo for Sept. :hyper: If we book Pop with QS and pay up to DDP we will be paying only about $200 more than POR FQ. both standard rooms.
For those of you who have stayed at both, My question is, for busing, location of bus stops at parks, rooms, and general location, would this be worth it? :confused3What rooms are the most close to the food court at POR FQ.
:worship:Thank you in advance.

To me for two hundred dollars difference I would take Pofq hands down if for nothing else but the laid back factor and ambiance. I enjoy the general area as it feels like a deluxe light if you will in that you can take transportation other than bus for one destination (Downtown Disney) at least.

POFQ should have DDP included with its FD promo. Moderates and Deluxes have DDP, while values have QS. Just making sure that is included in your calculations. Basically, if you book POFQ and get the FD promo, there's no need to pay up to DDP: you'd already have it.

As for busing, the locations of stops at parks changes constantly, and isn't stratified by resort level. So I wouldn't let this affect my resort choice.

POFQ is the smallest of the moderate resorts. Of all the room types there, River View rooms would be the farthest from the food court. It depends more on what side of a building in the other views you get as to how close you are to the food court. There's no part of POFQ that is more than a 5 minute walk to any other part of POFQ, in my experience.

For me I fight this decision everyday LOL:rotfl2:, its not like saving earth but its a delemia for me. In my case Its between POP and POR. We have stay at POP a half dozen times, and once at POR. Love, love love POP for me Its the perfect theme resort for WDW. POR was the first resort(wdw) we stay at,so there is some sentimental reasons for me staying there. So this Oct trip, MNSSHP and Food and wine fest will be the first solo trip for me. I have pretty much made up my mind to stay at POP but POR keeps creeping back in to the picture everyday when I hit the boards. I debate with my self whether I am making the right choice:confused3

I already made ressies at POP, but I too am thinking of POR if FD comes out next week. It is me and my 9 yr old, and we have done POP 2x already and POR 2x so it is not so much wanting to go where I have not been but I think a comfort level and peacefulness that I find at POR. Decisions decisions.....benigets or tye dye cheesecake..:confused3

for me it comes out to about 400 to 500 difference between POP and POR, not a ton,but enough to really make me think. Its diffently not a slam dunk:rotfl2:

Also there is a difference between POFQ and POR.

POFQ is very compact. We had a room in building 7 and it still was not far to the food court and the buses.

POR can be a different story. There are 3 bus stops and some rooms are a bit more of a hike.

If I had to choose between POFQ and POP, I would choose POFQ. It is my favorite moderate.
