And to all my disboarder friends who were at Disneyland today-sorry you had the added excitement of the 5.4 earthquake! According to our local news it is the hardest quake we've had in a heavily populated area since the Northridge quake in 1994. This earthquake was milder and no major damage or injuries have been reported -it was still a little scary though, even for me and I've lived her all my life. I can only imagine how scary it was for the visitors to DLR today.

Hi everyone, just a quick thought-Some of you may be at POP longer than you have the fridge for. If so, please make sure you've given me the date you will be done with the fridge, not the next day. For example if you are putting the fridge at Luggage Services late on the 15th, don't tell me the 16th. I may be able to get someone to pick it up on the 15th therefore keeping it out of Luggage Services. Same goes for if you are coming in late and won't be picking up until the next a.m.

If any of you are in the same situation as I am, where you'll be arriving too late on your arrival date to pick up the fridge, then you should give me your pick up date as the next day. This will just keep us out of Luggage Services which is the only way to keep things moving smoothly.

If everyone who's dates overlap by at least a few hours can do an in-person swap it would be wonderful. Lately, every time the fridge has gone to LS, we have been given a different one. So, you can see it's very important to try to meet in person. It doesn't take long. I did it last year in about 15-20 min at about 11 p.m. which worked for both of us. This year I'm going to have to do it in the a.m. of the next day as we are arriving after midnight. (Luggage Services will be closed) The swapper before me will be able to have it one extra night.

Additionally, everytime we lose our fridge, we lose all that is with it. We no longer have a toaster or coffepot. We will be getting a coffeepot soon as DisneyDeeva (9/28 to 10/5) is shipping down a Senseo Coffee maker to POP for me to pick up. I also plan on adding a toaster as well. I would really like the coffee maker and toaster to make it for awhile-at least until Disney Deeva gets there. The only way to guarantee this is if everyone from 9/11 to 9/28 makes in-person swaps. Let's see if we can do this! I will, more than likely, be leaving extra Senseo coffee pods with the maker. Please, lets all take just a short time out of our vacation time to make sure someone elses vacation has a little extra magic It's not to much to ask, is it? Let's keep our nice big fridge (and soon our coffee maker and toaster).

Okay, don't get too excited but it looks like one of our swappers is no longer going to use my fridge before my trip. I've sent several PMs (since July 11) and haven't heard back. So, I am going to release the dates on Monday.

Since I'm going to be the one exchanging with the swapper on 9/2 you must be available in the morning of Sept. 2 to do an in-person exchange with me. Our flight arrives at MCO on 9/1 at 11 p.m. That means we won't be getting to POP until after midnight so I won't be able to pick up the fridge from Luggage Services as it'll be closed. We will probably be going to TL or BB on 9/2 and I want to swap the fridge the a.m. of 9/2 before 9 a.m. Or if you will be up late on 9/1, we can exchange it then if it works for you.

If this works for you, please send me a PM or post your request here. I am truly hoping to fill all the dates from 8/24 to 9/2. There is a possibilty that the swapper who has it until 8/24 can keep it longer (until 8/28) if needed. Having no gaps is very important-in fact it's so important that I have to insist that the fridge will not go into Luggage Services.

Last year during Free Dining, Tanya organized a meet at Pop Century which cam to be know as the "Glow Party" Everyone brought glow sticks, glow necklaces, glow bracelets, glow earrings...well you get the idea. It was great fun! There were drinks, snacks, and lots of great conversation.

They are doing a repeat this year with many of the same folks. Even though I booked my trip for the end of Free Dining due to work constraints, I still keep tabs on everyone through the official Glow thread for this years repeat event.

I actually found her thread. We dropped in on a Pool Party in 2006 that was interesting. Unfortunately we got there pretty late so there were no kids left for DD8 to talk to-not that she minded-she loves to talk to adults, I think even more than kids. It was hard to get her to leave, she just kept wanting to chat! (She couldn't understand why the adults didn't want to keep talking to her and want to chat with other adults and have some adult beverages!

I looked at the party schedule and we may be able to stop by this year.

Thanks again for letting Tanya90210 know. She and I have been trading PMs and replies for about a year now.

Okay, I just noticed that this post is #1000-I had to post and get it myself.

I want to tell everyone one that I really enjoy organizing this swap. I've meet some really nice people (even if most of them have only been online though I well meet a few more in Sept. ). I love being able to help people save $$. I've also gotten some invaluable info, and cost savings, from other threads here. For the most part, disboarders are a wonderful group! Thanks to these boards I'm also doing a small CD share group as well. (was in one last year-had a blast!)

Some of you have been generous in return and I really appreciate it! There have been many donations of toasters and coffee makers as well as a few, much appreciate, personal gifts. So, thanks to all, let's keep it going-am I seeing Sept. 09 in my future???
