Maybe it is just me, but don’t the refillable Popcorn Buckets being sold at Walt Disney World Parks seem to be getting smaller?

The Halloween bucket we got a few weeks ago is the same size as our Christmas bucket from 4 years ago. I’m sure if I got out more of my bucket collection, they’ve been pretty much the same size since the 80s.

If for some reason they did differ in size, can you ask the CM to give you a bag of popcorn instead of re-filling your actual bucket? The new Christmas bucket (Christmas tree design) looks exceptionally small in pics.

I'd be surprised if they did that, you're paying $2 for the refill (less than half the cost of popcorn in a bag). You'd be hard pressed to "prove" any size difference on the spot with a CM who probably didn't work there the last time you bought a bucket.

Im thinking its the specialty buckets the OP is referring to...like the Christmas tree shaped bucket. The regular white buckets with the seasonal designs on them Im sure are pretty much the standard size they have been, but the specialty shaped ones do look pretty small and not hold very much popcorn. The last time we visited (which was almost 5 years ago) was when the Cinderella carriage buckets first came out and we bought one of those for my DD, but when we go back in 16 days (:yay:) I think Im going to opt for the regular bucket with the seasonal design on it.

Whenever we buy one of the specialty buckets we ask for the popcorn separately. We collect and display the buckets so we do not want them to have popcorn traces in them. Having said that, they do seem some smaller.

447586They have changed shape. They used to be taller and thinner. Volume wise they are almost the same. I filled the tall one with water and poured it into the shorter one and almost all the water fit. Very little left in the tall one.

Not sure why the photo is upside down.

Does anyone have pictures of this years Christmas/Holiday buckets? I am curious which characters they have, and are they new this year or did they recycle ones like the Santa Alien from last year?
Thanks
