Pop Warner

I thought I saw a thread earlier about Pop Warner - I did not look at it, because I did not realize that my trip was planned during the Pop Warner event in 2005. Does anyone know what, if any, impact this will have on my trip? I can still change my dates!

Help!! I thought I was going during a quiet time (12/6-12/11)!

This will probably have NO impact on your trip! I guess it really depends on where YOU stay and where most of them are staying.

Our experience: We were staying at POR. Saw lots and lots of girls with their hair in curlers! They tend to go to the food courts (and everywhere else) in groups (as is normal teenage behavior). What we did not care for..........warming up/practicing at 5am in the parking lot, and a few times the girls were not behaving very well and the adult(s) with that group just stayed in the lounge chair (by the pool) drinking. This was the "quiet" pool, meaning no water slide.

We didn't notice them at the parks........

I would NOT change my plans because of that possibility.

Thanks for the help! It scared me too much, though - I am going to change my dates - but it is not such a bad think - I moved my trip closer!!

just avoid MGM the friday of Pop Warner week....it closes early for a special Pop only event and tends to be crowded all day with Pop attendees...we learned the hard way but other than that not too bad

I dont believe they have been officially established....but its usually the 2nd full week of December....If I was a betting man I would say 4th thru 10th....

Right now it's 12/4 to 12/10 but they may change it to 12/11 to 12/17.

I hope so. I'll be there the 4th -10th and I've been there for Pop Warner. Lots of kids running loose. Crouds are higher than normal, but this is the only week we can go for our Dec. trip. Our last encounter with the Pop kids was that most were well behaved, but it was annoying with the constant cutting in line. We usually go to the parks in the morning and then head back for the afternoon to relax.... We'll be at VWL and BCV so it'll be quieter there
