Has anyone been down during this week? I'm planning my first family trip I have 3 year old DS. Found out we booked during Pop Warner week? I"m just worried there will be crowds of teenagers eveywhere? any advice? My son is so excited to be going to Buzz's house! hehehe

We were there during Pop Warner a few years ago. We stayed at All Stars Music and the kids were everywhere. The food court was always mobbed and there were alot of kids all over the resort. We didn't see them at all in the parks as I believe they practice and compete during most of their stay at the sports complex. We had a couple of instances where there was a group of boys fistfighting outside our room, and we saw alot of the parents over-indulging in alcohol sitting outside their rooms. I'm all for relaxing and having a drink, but it was way overboard. I was a little upset because I didn't know about Pop Warner at the time I planned the vacation (I wasn't in w/the DIS!!) However, alot of people say they had no problems at all, and the kids were well behaved. If you don't mind alot of kids around the resort and the food court you should have no problems.

The parks are OK, it's the resorts that are a problem. If you are staying at a deluxe, it's no big deal. If you are staying at a moderate, you may run into trouble. If you are staying at a value, I would think twice.

We were there last Dec. and didn't notice anything unusual in the parks. We did see a few groups of cheerleaders at EPCOT, but they were well behaved. No big crowds, we had basically no waits on anything in any park that week. We stayed at AKL, so there were no problems at the resort. I originally had booked ASMo for my Buzz fan, but when I heard about POP Warner crowds, I changed to POR. (I got a code for AKL a couple months before trip, so that's how we ended up upgrading twice!)

I was staying at All Star Movies in March when groups of kids were coming in for some type of competition. We saw them at the resort- but they didn't cause any problems.

were actually staying offsite. so maybe this will be a good thing afterall?

Then I wouldn't worry about it. It's a great time to go! Crowds are usually low, especially on weekdays. The Christmas decorations and shows are wonderful!

You should be OK offsite. The groups aren't as obnoxious in the parks as they often appear to be at the resort where they are housed.

We were there in Feb. 2005 and the only park that was bad was MK. We stayed at POR and there was no group of kids but when lining up to get the bus home from any of the parks the longest and busiest and nosiest was the ASMovies and so on. We went the first week of February.
