Pop Warner resort question

I know Pop Warner stays at All Star Sports, but do they also stay at POR or POFQ? Thanks!

They were staying at POR prior to the refurb. Not sure what the plan is now though.

The Moderate they stay at varies..They have stayed at POR,CBR and CSR in the past..No way to know for sure till they get closer to the booking period which won't be for months yet

The official resorts were Pop and CBR in 2011 and All Stars and POR in 2010. I've never seen them at CSR, only the cheerleaders for the parade filming usually stay at CSR.

Yikes. I booked Pop Century for 11/30-12/8 thinking I would be safe. I did not think they usually stayed there. What month does Pop Warner announce the hotels they are stating at? Thanks.

They don't usually announce the Pop Warner schedule until the Fall, because I don't think they know how many people they'll have until the football season is under way.

Most frequently in recent years, they have stayed at the All Stars and POR. I don't know why they stayed at Pop last year, but I know they stayed at CBR instead of POR because POR was undergoing renovations. This year, the POR renovations will be complete by then but now almost 500 rooms at POR will be Royal rooms which I doubt will be an option for Pop Warner. So because of that, I wouldn't be surprised if CBR is now the moderate choice hotel each year. Plus, there's a rumor that POR really hates the Pop Warner crowd and has been trying to get out of them staying there.

I just assumed that they changed to Pop when they were at CBR this year since they're next door to each other, somewhat similar to the All Star Sports and the Port Orleans resorts (not as close to each other as CBR and POP, but still in the same vicinity).

Now I am second guessing my choice to stay at Pop. I have been at Disney several times during Pop Warner, but never at the same resort. I really like that week because my daughter is off from school an extra day that week.

we were at CBR the same week they were this past year (2011) and it wasn't really an issue, except on our last night, and even that wasn't an issue so much as we just changed our plans. We noticed the food court was a little bit more crowded, but definitely manageable. The only way we even knew they were there up until that last night was the decorations in room windows that said what teams were in those rooms.

The last night, the main pool at CBR was packed (it was very warm for December), so DF and i decided to go to our quiet pool. That also ended up being packed, so we abandoned that plan and just packed and got ourselves ready for the trip home. Disney Security did have to break up cheerleading practice at the pool, and did disperse some rowdy parents at 11 PM that night. We also heard them once or twice after that breaking up loud gatherings, but that was the extent of it. Not to bad, considering the horror stories we heard about Pop Warner before we left.

My wife and I were down at POP from Dec 2-9, 2011. We rarely noticed the pop warner kids. In fact I wonder if there were any there.

Also we were down with her best friend and her husband. They stayed at Coronado Springs and thier story is different then ours.

We did notice a lot of kids in the morning at Everything POP, and there were long lines to get to the Wide World of Sports complex, but that was it. In fact Ive read horror stories of late night fights or noise and that never happened.

However at Coronado Springs we were told that the cheer teams were staying there and they were noisy from morning till midnight. Large packs were practicing in open areas or hanging out in the food court. My wife's friend did not enjoy her stay there.

I think that your mileage may vary. If they were at pop last December the kids were well managed and not sn issue. Possibly at Coronado they were not.

The offical resorts in 2011 were the Allstar sports and Music and the CBR. For the past few years the value resort has been the Allstar Sports and Music and the moderates the POR and POFQ, this past year 2011, they stayed at the CBR because of the renovations at the POR. It will be anyones guess as to the moderate resort this year.

We stayed at CSR from Dec 2-9 and never had any problems or even heard the cheerleaders while we were there. The only time we even saw them was when they were leaving.
