ugh i JUST realized that our first week of december trip is the time that Pop Warner *should* be at their tournament.
we have a group of 12 staying throughout various resorts in WDW/UO with me personally being at Cabana Bay which i read is one of the resorts that the football players will be at.
Has anyone had experience being their while the championship was going on? even if it was when they were at Disney?
Do you think it will make a big impact on the Universal crowd levels?
I read posts on here from 2019 saying that the biggest impact is felt later in the week as teams start to lose. which is good i guess, i'll be there thursday the 2nd through wednesday the 8th. splitting half and half with universal park days and disney park days. 12/3 is also our first universal park day and i read that they don't arrive until the 4th
Honestly, i'm not sure i care about them being at the same resort--aside from evenings at the pool we are all adults and will be out of our rooms every day at the parks and going over to Disney. The buses i'm a little concerned about but we can gauge if we see large masses of them waiting for buses and decide to walk or uber from cabana bay.
but i'm worried if they have an impact on the crowds at the parks.
i traveled over thanksgiving in 2018 when there was a huge thanksgiving competition and it was the busiest time i had ever been but i can't blame that solely on the cheerleading groups.
the only reason why i am getting worked up over this is because i am travelling with 3 teenagers that haven't been to disney or universal since they were babies--they LOVE harry potter so much that i'm worried they won't have a good experience at universal if masses of kids are at the parks too
thoughts? concerns?
