Does anyone know the dates for the Pop Warner / Cheerleading competition this year at WDW? We were there in Dec. 03 and the competition was going on the entire week we were there. It wasn't a terrible inconvenience, but there were large groups of boys/girls running around (wild at times) generally unsupervised. The only time it was bothersome was late at night when they were running around outside our room! (POR)

We will be there from the 6th thru 13th of December this year. I'm not going to change my plans, I just want to be prepared!!: ;)

According to allears.net., Disney's Wide World of Sports - Pop Warner Superbowl - December 5-11, 2004. ~::yes::~

I also took the following from allears.net under the Port Orleans-Riverside reader's comments. ~:D~

I knew the Pop Warner groups were coming, so I requested that I be in a quiet area. They did a good job. I was on the 3rd floor with other families. The food court was hectic with loads of pre teen kids. I was told that as soon as Pop Century opens, that will be where they will house the vast majority of these groups. The All Stars are packed with this group.

Thanks for the info...we will be staying at the Dolphin so I don't think there will be too many there.

Pop Warner hosts the annual Scholar All-American Awards Program each year to celebrate the accomplishments of our gifted scholar-athletes. Going into our 44th year hosting this event, Pop Warner has become a staple at Disney venues. The event alternates annually between Disneyland™ (2005) and DisneyWorld™ (2004). This year's event is taking place on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

We will be at the Scholar Banquet. We went also 2 years ago. It is a very nice event. We're staying off-site. The Pop Warner rate for CSR was ..gulp $139 plus tax. Nice awards ceremony and fun NFL guest speakers.

I thought i heard that they are going to keep the kids at the all stars....it would be a bummer to put them at a brand new hotel...seems like they stay at the music and sports the most...we have been there when groups have...POP warner football, cheerleader competitions, band competitions...i thought it was fun for the kids, but for us it was kinda crowded, especially at the pool and food court..::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo
