POP vs. CBR?

We are booked for CBR but now I am having 2nd thoughts? Buyers Remorse? Thinking maybe we should go to a value resort and use that extra money elsewhere. Has anyone stayed at both? Please help make this decision. Thanks.

CBR is more spread out than POP. POP is a value resort so you wont have a hot tub near the pool or you wont have the water mice or a marina of any kind. I have stayed at both and i prefer POP, there food selection is better at the food court, everything is closer, and the pools are fantastic. The atmosphere in my opinion is better. But however more families go to POP because of the environment there.

It all depends on what you are going to use the resort for. I feel POP is more spread out than CBR. We always like the quiet pools at CBR rather than one main pool.

The food court at POP is larger seating wise but CBR has a large selection of food and grab and go market. They also have a sit down restaurant.

You will have a great time no matter where you stay. Do what feels right for you.

Thanks for quick replies. I have a 4 year old. I initially went for CBR because I thought the main pool looked really neat for him. Although not sure how much we will be using the pool. However, all of the fun displays at POP would be neat for him too. We have never been before so it is so hard to tell from pictures. Is it worth the money to pay extra for CBR vs. POP?

I know there will be those that will disagree but I have stayed at both and for how MY family uses the resort, I liked POP better. We spend the vast majority of our time at the parks and DTD. We used the pool more at CBR because it was August and when we were at POP it was Dec and COLD! POP does have those cute water fountains for the kids to play in that your 4 y.o. might like. I liked the food better at the POP food court although I think that I have heard that CBRs food court has changed since our 2001 visit - not sure. For us, we would rather spend the "extra" money eating a great meal, shopping or something other than a room. I agree that you will have a GREAT time no matter which resort you choose.

Although I haven't been to Disney yet, we are planning our first trip and were faced with the exact same question as you. I concluded after looking at many many pictures that we would stay at POP because it looked so much more "kid oriented" (the big figures and all of the bright colors). Now if I was going with just my husband I would have picked CBR. The other thing I took in mind was the fact that the resort to me was just a place to sleep, so no matter where we stayed we would have just as much fun and we could use the money we saved to add into that fun.
