Pop vs ASMo

Depending on FD for the end of August, we may change our reservation.

I've stayed at Pop before and loved it, never at ASMo but love the theming. If you had your choice which would you pick and why? Also, i'm pretty sure ASMo is included in FD...is that correct?

There's 3 of us, myself, DBF, and DD.

POP because the rooms should all be brand new and renovated, and my personal favorite value.

The much anticipated free Disney Dining Plan has been announced for 2017! Guests visiting August 21-September 30, November 14-20, November 25-27, and December 8-23, 2017 can get a free dining plan when they purchase a non-discounted Walt Disney World Resort hotel and ticket package. Guests looking to take advantage of this limited time offer must purchase a 5-night/6-day Magic Your Way package, and must be using the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Option. In order for guests to get the promotion they must book by July 7, 2017.

During the promotion, guests staying in Disney’s value resorts, moderate resorts, and the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness will be offered the free quick-service dining plan, and guests staying at one of Disney’s Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resorts will be offered the Free Disney Dining Plan.

The following rooms and Disney Resort hotels are excluded from the offer:

• Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campsites
• 3-bedroom villas
• Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms

Thanks! Problem solved I browsed through the free dining thread and didn't see it. I just hope they don't exclude Pop this year, because of the renovations. DD and I loved Pop when we stayed there in 2011.

I say go for POP. POP has the better food court, plus AOA is a short walk over the bridge, and you have access to that awesome food court! A great perk of POP

I've spent one night at Pop and two nights at Movies, both resorts were before transferring somewhere else.

I say Pop hands down. The grounds at Movies are adorable, but the food court was a million times better at Pop (had one meal there, two at Movies). Add in renovated rooms and it's no question.

The rooms and common areas at Movies all felt grimy to me. But again, the giant icons were awesome, particularly in the Toy Story area - they have it set up where you go through Andy's bedroom door into the area - so cute!

This is the reason i was considering movies, i love all the big icons and sorcerer mickey is my all time fav

Another reason i love Pop, the last time we were there i actually looked forward to eating in the food court lol Do they still have the ice cream place off to the left when you walk in from the lobby?


I'm getting so excited about switching from WL to Pop (thanks to uncle sam and a mistake i made in my check), is that odd? I liked the old rooms, but saw a video of a refurb room and it looks awesome!
