Hi, Aimeedyan (and anyone else who might have any advice for me)! I noticed on another thread that you recently stayed at POP and RPR on the same trip. We (DH, DD10, DS8, and I) are planning a similar trip for Easter 2005 (POP for 4 nights and then RPR for 3 nights). Was there anything that you would have done differently? Did you have any trouble moving from POP to RPR? Also, my husband kind of wants to start at RPR, since this will be our first time at US, and then move to POP. However, I am thinking that POP might be a let down after having stayed at RPR. Your opinion?

I have stayed at both. I would definitely do POP first and then RPR. POP is a value resort and RPR is a deluxe. There is no comparison. RPR has queen beds and POP has doubles. Also, RPR rooms are about 100 sq. ft. larger. However, the most important reason to do Universal last is FOTL. If you do Universal first, FOTL will spoil you and those long WDW lines will feel even longer. With Universal at the end of you trip you can tour at a slower more relaxing pace because of FOTL.

I agree.

We did ASM and then HRH. We ran into a couple who were doing the exact opposite and they said they really wished they had reversed the order of their trip.

Especially at Easter time when the parks are likely to be pretty busy go to WDW first - the excitment of being on vacation will get you through the long lines for a few days, then you can really relax and revel in FOTL at Universal!
