Pop to Poly for O'Hana...

I called to make ADRs for our Sept for the O'Hana breakfast I wanted between 7:30 and 7:45 there were spots available, but the CM told me that the busses don't run until an hour before the parks open so we wouldn't have a way to get there. (Parks open at 9am that day). Then on here I read they start earlier than that. So I called today and spoke to another CM and she told me she didn't know when the busses start so it woudl be best for me to keep my 8:30 ADRs. I would prefer to get earlier ones so we can be at park opening...

What is the best way to get from Pop to Poly for the breakfast early in the AM? Is there a bus (not necessarily to the Poly itself, but to the MK or monorail or whatever?)

We did dinner from the Pop to O'Hana at the Poly in April. We took bus from Pop to DTD, hopped on the Poly bus and were there. We lucked out - no waiting at DTD and the bus for Poly was directly across from our Pop bus!

I called ahead of time and asked if it was quicker to go to Downtown Disney or to go to the Magic Kingdom and take a bus or monorail to Poly. They told me it was quicker to go to DTD. I took their word for it, but I am sure you could also take the bus to MK and then ride the monorail back to Poly as well.

There is a monorail stop right at the Poly, so you could take the monorail to the MK as soon as your breakfast is finished!

I always try to make my breakfast ADRs for as soon as the restaraunts open. They have character meal buses that will get you there in plenty of time. Dining always act like they don't know about these buses, but I assure you, they exist, run regularly, and you would have no problem making an early ADR. Just be at the MK bus stop about 45 minutes before your ADR. There will be other people there, going to either CRT or CP at the MK, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, 1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian, and O'hanas at the Poly. The driver will usually drop the early 'breakfasters' at the park first then take the other people to the respective hotels. In fact my GD and I had breakfast there in Jan and were there just before O'hana's opened using the character breakfast bus. We did the same thing for our early breakfasts at Donald's and Rain Forest Cafe in AK. I also used the same early morning buses in Jan '05, May 05, Sept 05, and Dec 05 to get to either early breakfasts or tours.

Just be at the MK bus stop 45 minutes before your ADR and tell the bus driver you need to get to the Poly. I believe the sign on the bus will either say MK or it may say Character Breakfast. Sorry I forgot which.
