The BF and I are likely going to be staying at Pop Century in September and would really like to go to the Kennedy Space Center. We won't have a rental car, though, so what would be the best way to get there? Any info/suggestions that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

You could always try Mears or another shuttle service, but I don't think that there are any public transportation systems that run across county lines - everything would have to be private

I think that your best option would be to rent a car for just that day.

Any idea what the closest location would be to rent a car?

I had found this tour available, but I have no clue how reputable it is...

I would thin that tour itself is pretty reputable, but you would still have to get to one of their pick-up locations in the AM and its pretty pricey for just the bus ride. You would still have to add on cost of admission at KSC.

Is it Enterprise that advertises that they will pick you up? I would assume that woudl be the best. make reserveration online before hand and have them come and pick you up at POP without any other transportation costs/hassles. i woudl assume that most car rental places also have pre-printed maps and information about getting to the various beaches and KSC.

That price should include transportation, admission, and touring different areas of the facility. They have an alternate option of just transportation but it's like $55. But yeah, getting to AS that early is questionable...

Hmm, I forgot about that, I think that is Enterprise. I'll have to look into that as I only looked for rental cars that you have to go and pick up yourself. Thanks!

sure thing. Also don't forget to bring spare change for the Fl toll roads. the ones they have just kind of pop up and ask you for change only, not like the ticketed booths we have here in the midwest.

have a great vacay!
