I just saw a picture of ASMU and they have added privacy curtains during the renovation. Did POP get these recently? We haven't been there in 2 years.

Note, not all rooms have curtains in ASMu.
Just got back from Broadway and no curtain, heard others say the same.

Would doubt POP added (was there in Sept) because I do not believe any renovations have gone on over there.

Nope, no privacy curtains at Pop Century that I know of. Just got back and we didn't have one in our room.

They did not have them at Pop as of July. I have not seen any posts where they have been added, so I would assume they don't have them currently.

Is it just me, or do you think that the privacy curtains should be standard in all guest rooms with the tub and toilet seperate from the vanity?

They should be standard. I am seriously considering taking a small tension rod and a cheap shower curtain for the doorway. We have 2 girls (13 and 10) and they will definitely want their privacy dressing.

I agree - they should be standard. THey dont cost that much money but I guess they need to find ways of justifying moderate resort prices....they are included in a moderate.

That said....

Last trip I brought those plastic hooks with the sticky back and a shower curtain and set up my own privacy curtain...many on these boards have done that. They come off easily and are much easier to pack in a suitcase than a tension rod.

Would you mind providing more details about the hooks and where you attached them? I had posted about packing a tension rod and think your idea sounds better, but I can't picture it in my mind.

Thanks!!!! :)

The hooks are made of plastic and have peel off adhesive on the backs. I think they are made by 3M or Scotch and are only a buck or two.

Have you stayed at a moderate because if you have - picture where the curtain in those rooms are....just stick one hook on one side of the opening and one hook on the other and hang the shower curtain between them.

If you havent stayed in a moderate it is the opening to the sink area between the beds and the sink....you know the wall that the coat rack is on?

It doesnt look great and it doesnt slide back and forth like a tension rod would but I only closed it when we needed it to be closed and it worked out great....plus my husband thought I was "all that" for the idea - lol.

Thanks for the explanation! I will try it! We have stayed at CBR before and the curtain was handy. :) I have some of those hooks and will pack them in my bag. I *think* my Dollar Tree has some cheapo burgundy shower liners. I would think that would work.

Did the same thing and it worked great. :thumbsup2

I have a small tension rod that I keep just for this purpose. It isn't very long and fits nicely in my checked bag. I also have a tab-top fabric shower curtain that I bring with me. It drapes nicely and moves easily along the rod.

For those of you that use a tension rod at POP, how long of a rod should it be? Thanks ! :)
