:banana:Which one would you pick and why?
We're going with a party of 10 (oldest 62 -excellent health; youngest 8)

If you pick Riverside, do you know which bus stop picks up first? THANKS!!

POR!!!!! Hands down. We stayed in Magnolia Terrace in the mansion section, and loved it! I think we may have been the last stop, can't remember and it was only Aug  http://allears.net/acc/faq_dxl.htm
It's a beautiful resort. Boat to DTD, evening entertainment at River Roost Lounge. Bob Jackson puts on a great show for all ages.
Carriage Rides! Nice food court. Quieter then POP, larger rooms, fridge, rooms in Alligator Bayou section can sleep 5 with trundle bed.
POR has amazing theming, landscapping, so lush and beautiful. Pool with slide, hot tub, quiet pools.

Definately POR--Everyone will love this resort no matter what there age.
Beautiful and very relaxing, fun to explore.

I would catch the Bus stop closest to your Room unless you are
eating Breakfast at the Food court. It seems like everyone wants
to catch the bus by the Food Court add it seems to be the most popular.

When we stayed there We were in the Mansions, caught the bus by our
room and no one was on yet but when we headed around to the other bus
stops, the last being the one closest to the FC and there was always a
large crowd waiting to get on there.

Also don't forget to take the ferry boat down the Sassagoula River to DTD, particularly in the evening. Another plus for the PO resorts is that you can pool hop between PO-R and PO-FQ pools.

Loved POR Hated Pop!!!! We loved the boat to DTD we took it a few times after we returned from the parks...we loved everything about this resort

Perhaps it's the time of year one travels, but when we stayed at POR last January, the bus stop by the main lobby always picked up and dropped off first. We stayed in a water view room at Parterre Place. Our room was right off a staircase down to the river (and the further of the two "ends" from the main lobby).

We found it both quicker and better to walk to the bus stops outside the main lobby than to go to East Depot. East Depot was the last picked up and the last dropped off.

We have stay at both, and we love them both. But really It depends on what you are looking for In a resort. Pop has the basics In rooms, but has better Disney theaming and bus transportation. The food court Its self Is better at Por but again Its hard to get to specialy If you have been at the parks and tired at that, and you are In one of the outer buildings!. There both great and can not go wrong in your choice.Matter of Fact I am sitting here depating with that very question for our July trip.We might just do both!

In the rooms at POP you will be missing a few things that you would have at POR...the beds at POP are full beds at POR they are queen size...at POP there is one sink per room...at POR there are two...at POP there is no ceiling fan and no fridge or coffee pot...also at POP there is no privacy curtain in the bathroom area....

POR does not have queen beds (the only moderate that offers queen beds is the Coronado); POR has the same size beds as the values.

We've stayed at both and like them both but prefer POP for its food court choices and overall theming.

When are you going? We stayed at POP last year for our first family trip and we loved it. Everything was clean and surprisingly close for a big resort. We will be at POR in less than a week. I will try to update you when we get back!!
