We have stayed at POP numerous times. We are thinking of trying POR in a Royal Room, however, I'm not thrilled with the internal buses. We stayed at SSR once and I felt like it took FOREVER with all the internal bus stops. Our trip is a short one, Friday to Tuesday, and we spend most of our time at Epcot and the MK. Which would you choose based on transportation alone? I know POP is pretty much at the end of the bus stalls at the MK, where is POR? Also does POR ever share with POFQ?

I would have liked to rent a car, but the rates right now are atrocious.

Any advice is appreciated!

Didn't seem that POR made as many stops as SSR. But it does seem as if EVERYONE stays at POR the buses are always full, and a long line at the end of the day (Mostly at MK). Loved POR though, beautiful hotel. You could stay at POFQ those buses pick-up and drop-off before POR. HTH!

You could do what we did a couple of times -- when the POR line was long leaving MK and the POFQ line was short -- we took the POFQ bus and walked back to POR -- it is less than 1/2 mile walk.

But then wouldn't they go from POFQ to POR, thus making it just as long of a bus ride? Or do they not share buses? Some stuff I've read say they do, other stuff says they don't. Unfortunately POFQ doesn't offer a discount though, which stinks!

If I remember correctly the buses only made 1 stop at POFQ. From some parks they share buses from MK they have separate buses.

POR and POFQ share buses at very busy times. At non-busy times, they do not. But as stated before, you can always take the bus to POFQ and then walk back.

I have stayed numerous times at POR and once at SSR and I thought there was lots more stops and they were further apart than the four stops at POR.

The added advantage you have is if you end your evening at a resort, you can take the DTD bus to the hub and then walk over to the Marketplace dock. After 4 pm, the water taxis run every ten minutes, so you are never waiting long for a ride back to the resort.
