Which would you book for upcoming 3 night stay for Christmas - CBR or Pop? I can't decide which to book

1000% CBR!!!!
No comparison! CBR is moderate and POP is value. The rooms are larger I believe and the property is gorgeous!

We have stayed at POP twice and really enjoyed it. Food court had good choices and food was decent. We toured CBR and it just wasn't a place I would want to spend the extra money on. While I am sure CBR is a nice place to stay (must be as tons of people love it) it just didn't turn my crank. As far as moderates go, we had a lousy stay at P.O. Riverside and a very nice stay at Coronado.

Cheers
John

I agree with Nagle. Save the money and stay at POP. CBR is nice but I am a value or delux all the way type of guy. I liked Pop, it is big an a touch noisy if you are in a Preferred room by the pool but the food court is great and the exta $30 or $40 you save a night can add up.

I have stayed at both. Neither will disppoint. Seriously, if you are not going to be in the room much-stay at POP and use the extra cash elsewhere. POP has a great food court, cute pools and splash pad and nice playground. If your kids are younger for sure. (Although DD is 11 and we have stayed at value, mod and deluxe and she always wants to go POP) Now for CBR - room a bit bigger (doesn't matter much if you only sleep, shower there), the main pool is great (zero entry and 2 waterslides(no slides at POP) and nice beachy feel-hammocks, sand beaches and a few playgrounds. But, if you are not having a "resort day" go POP.
Just my 2 cents.
As I said to open- you cannot go wrong here with either choice.
Good luck- Have fun

Thanks everyone. I guess I have to decide if $150 US extra is worth staying over at CBR for the few nights we will be there. I figure if we stay there we might as well book a pirate room. I have stayed at all 3 levels of resorts but I have to say - once you shut the door to the room they all are basically the same - room decor may be nicer but a room is a room.

If you do CBR-yes the pirate room is cool. We did that one in March and my kids liked the boat beds. The walk some complain about from these rooms, is NO BIG DEAL

I actually prefer the rooms that are further away from the main buildings as they are quieter plus usually less people in the pools. It also gives you a chance to see the resort while on the walk to/from the room. You walk all day long, whats a few more steps. Thanks for the heads up on the pirate rooms, I was hoping to hear from someone who had stayed in them.

Hello All!

With that recommendation, I've decided to go forth and book CBR. Enjoyed All Star Movies last year, but this year we're taking the cruise with a couple of nights at Disney before bussing out to the Port. Value resorts don't have a cruise bus come by for pickup so we either would stay at CBR (or other moderates) or we'd have to go back to the airport to catch the shuttle there.

I've tried booking for the past several hours, but the Disney website seems down. Anybody else having that problem?

I think I will book the Pop Century. I know the Mods are nice but we won't be spending must time at the Resort. Also, with the $$ I save I can pay for our MVMCP tickets

Pop. We didn't really like the way CBR was set up. We were in a pirate room so the long walk with a 4-year-old wasn't a great thing.

We've decided that we like the value hotels and that is what we are going to do. Just because we can afford the more expensive hotels doesn't mean we have to stay at them. We were going to stay at WL this trip but decided that since we love Pop we'll go back.

WOW that is a great rate,,I'm being quoted 145.00 per night (USD)
Dec 26-31st. POP Century, I must be going the wrong part of the month.
Congrats to you,,
Hugs Mel
