We aren't in the room that much and it's just my daughter & I. We will be spending a lot of time at MK and HS. Our trip is in early April to take advantage of the AP discount. I am more concerned with having a quiet room and good transportation. Which would you choose based on this? I have been to Disney 5 times and have always stayed Deluxe - other than spending our first night at CSR on one trip. We don't need the bigger room or naps in the afternoon anymore.

Stayed at both these resorts but haven't stayed at CBR in a long time. Just stayed at POP this past May and loved it. We too are hardly in the rooms so choosing a value resort makes the most sense for us. CBR is undergoing a major refurb from what I hear and POP also is going through room renovations. For the most part we didn't have any issues with noise and the resort was fairly quiet for May. The transportation was decent, the only long line we had was when we were leaving the Magic Kingdom after Extra Magic Hours. Still the wait wasn't too long for the bus and they had buses coming in one right behind the other one. One thing Disney does a great job at is having a lot of buses running during peak times.

Thank you so much! It's great to hear from someone that has stayed at both resorts. I am really leaning towards POP. The savings would be around $400 and would cover a lot of dining.

Pop. We really love Pop. The new rooms are great with the queen beds so I would suggest requesting a refurbished room. We've always asked for, and received a top floor room and have never had an issue with noise. We've not had any issues with the buses, I wish the bus stop was covered but it's not a huge deal. I do like how the line for the bus is roped off, unlike at Mods or Values so you don't have to worry about people crowding around and cutting in front of you. The food court is pretty good and the pools are nice, Petals pool bar has great drinks. The resort is relatively small, especially when compared to CBR or CSR so it's really never a far walk to anything. We've always encountered very friendly CMs there.

We've stayed at CBR once and really disliked it, I wouldn't stay there again. The layout was confusing, it's so huge and spread out, food court was always packed, and the CMs were not very friendly. I'm not a fan of how the pool is laid out, I always had a hard time keeping an eye on DD so we couldn't sit by the pool and watch, someone had to be in there with her all the time.

This is how we felt about CSR. I went ahead and booked POP. Thanks for your help!

You're very welcome. And yes the amount of $ you save by staying at a value resort adds up if you're staying multiple nights. Yes the rooms at POP are not as big or nice as the Deluxe or Moderate resorts but when you think about it how much time are you really staying in the room anyways? Better off saving some $$$ and putting that towards a nice meal and souvenirs. That's the way I've always looked at it especially with the way prices are for resort rooms these days.

POP new refurbished room, ask for a top floor and get the quieter ambiance, new rooms have queen beds, and POP is compact resort compared with CBR and if you’re not going to miss the amenities of a moderate, go ahead and book POP
