POP or CBR for 1 night Jan 1 06

Hubby and I are doing a PC cruise out of Miami and are going to stat at WDW the day before our cruise itstead of driving 10 hours in one day. I have stayed at Pop and like it but thought about CBR for one night but it is a$80 difference in price as of now I can get FL residents rates closer to the date. Has anyone been at the CBR in Jan or Dec? Is it warm enough to get into the pools? Or what about the paddle boats? How is the food at CBR? We plan on eating lunch at Margaritaville and then head to the resort and later play some minigolf. which resort?

We stayed at CBR in Dec 2003. I loved it! It was quiet and didnt seem crowded. You can see the fireworks from Epcot from the beach. We didnt go swimming but there were people in the pools. Didnt do the paddleboats because it closed at 5pm and we were still in the parks. I thought the food was very good!!!!

If you are going to be there for one night POP might be the better choice. Unless you are planning on hanging out at the resort then I would recommend CBR. You might want to read through the CBR FAQ's listed below.
