I read that Pop Century does not have microwaves, fridges, or coffee makers in the room. Would it be acceptable for us to bring along a very small microwave for heating up mini-meals in our room? Or is this a huge Disney No-No?

This is a (no pun intended) hot topic. Pop Century does not have fridges, microwaves, coffee maker etc... in the room. They have a microwave in the food court that you can use for free should you wish to heat up food. You can rent a fridge for $10.00 a day if you need one. The rooms at Pop are not set up for cooking and don't have proper ventilation for the fumes.

Here is the official response from Disney regarding cooking in a hotel room:

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

We are pleased to learn that you and your family are planning to visit our Vacation Kingdom. Cooking items and appliances such as you describe are not permitted in Disney Resort rooms. Guests violating this policy (and Florida Fire Code statutes) will get a visit from Resort Security.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us. Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you! Sincerely, Betsy Mayer
