After spending over a year researching WL Two weeks before I'm finally going to make our reservations my dd has fallen completely in love with Pop Century. Since things have changed at work meaning I got laid off for the summer 2 months before I thought I was going to it was going to be tight staying at WL this time so I've decided to go ahead and make her happy and surprise her with a stay at Pop. Unless of course someone wants to step in and pay for us to stay at YC or Poly concierge. <g>

I don't really care what building we're in but what I want is to be close to the main building so my kids can walk over there together to refill their mugs or go to the arcade without having to wander halfway through the resort. I know that the ends of some non preferred buildings are closer to the main building than some of the preferred buildings are so I won't bother to pay the extra for the 60s building unless I need to. Should I just ask to be at the end of a building close to the main building or is there a more specific way I should ask for that?

A few things I might say...

If you end up on one of the upper floors, and end up using the elevator, the rooms on the wings farthest from Classic Hall will be JUST AS CLOSE as the rooms on the wing that is closer. Why? Because you'd have to backtrack to get to the elevator. (And really, it's just a few seconds to get to the elevator, not really a big deal by any means)

In regards to wording your request, all you need to request is "Close to Classic Hall" -- that's the wording that will be entered into the comments section.

We have stayed ther two time over the past three months. Big (13) family vacation in Dec 04, and 15th anniversary in Jan 05. We request the "preferred building" when making reservations. there is an extra cost per night per room but it is well worth it. We make reservation for DD 8 birthday trip in Nov 05 and the preferred location was $93 for 7 nights. But you will be near the main building and near the pool. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Tyler. I didn't even think about the elevator thing. I wouild like to be on a higher floor so that makes sense.

The thing is that some of the 50s and 70s buildings are closer than the buildings a the back of the 60s section. Thanks for the advice though!
