I have been reading and it seems that the POP Food Court is quite crowded during peak times. What times does the Food Court open in the morning? Is is crowded right at opening?

There are plenty of cast members working at registers to keep lines moving along. It's finding a table that could be a problem during peak times. I think the food court opens at 6am and it is not busy that early in the morning.

The food court is always crowded but you're always guaranteed to find a seat so it's nothing to worry about. :thumbsup2

Nah, thats not true. The reason why I said that during PEAK times, it can be difficult to find a table is because I was there during a peak season and we had to sit over by the pool to eat (where seating was also scarce) because the dining room was full. Not trying to scare you, chances of you finding a table are definitely in your favor during most times.

No one is guaranteed to find a seat anywhere in Disney and POP is no exception.
DME was picking us up at 10am from POP and we went to the food court around 9 hoping to get breakfast - there wasn't a seat anywhere. Not inside, not outside, not even on benches in the lobby. Some people were seating on the floor near the pool eating their breakfasts.

Even when I came around 7am to fill our mugs the place was almost full.

wow really? We were there for 10 day in mid-june and there was a whole bunch of us (20 college kids scattered) It was always super crowded in the morning & late night and every single one of us always found a seat. I was there a week after the 4th w/ my family and it was the same, we always found seats.

I was there mid-June and never saw it really crowded. I ate there 3-4 times and almost had an entire section to myself...I usually ate there for lunch when most people are out in the parks.

We were there in early March and most of the time my DH went to the food court in the morning and it was always packed. I went on our last two days and it wasn't too bad getting my food, and most of the time I walked right up to the register and got out fast. But the tables were full. We never wanted a table though. We just took it back to our room. I had no desire to sit at one of the tables and thought it was strange how so many pepople did and dind't take it back to there rooms. But we were still getting ready to go and eating breakfast while getting ready too.

We stayed there the week before Christmas and never had a problem. I was down there early to get breakfast items or drinks, usually 6:30 or so and never a problem. We ate dinner there twice, sitting in a table and not having trouble getting one. This was in the 5-7pm range. It was busy but there were tables. There are a lot of tables in the Pop food court, it is a pretty big place.

Jist retermed from there never had problem getting a table it did get a little crazy at night when returning from the parks as there were shutting donn some of the beverage islands since it closes at midnight.

Op, the question is when are you going? For free dining you will find a seat. I happen to like bringing my food back to my room, to watch tv while I dine though. But, there were always seats.
