We're going to stay at pop century in March (My fiance, me, my 11 year old son and my mother) Any cool things about this resort? My son had his heart set on all star music but couldn't get the dreammaker package there because it was sold out for march break. Anyone have any info on some cool stuff they have or can do there at pop century? Any info on it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

The resort is GREAT for kids. VEry animated...large pool...some cool picture taking, and full of families. For solo adults...dont' expect too much...it is just a room. Pack your blow dryer b/c none is provided in the room, no coffee pot & we didn't have a refrigerator. And the resort is quite large. SO depending on where your room is....you may have a little walk to the bus area.

I am sure you & your family will have a great time! :earsgirl: It was cute!

I don't know what you consider "cool," but I'll tell you what I remember about the resort. We went last Feburary & will be there again March 20th - 26th of this year.

There is a nice area for children to watch cartoons on a big television to the right inside the main entrance. Several shadow-box type things hang throughout the lobby with memorabilia from the decades represented by the resort. There is an arcade, a nice shop & a wonderful food court as well. There is a bar close to the pool. All of the buildings (IMO) are plenty close to the bus stop/food court, so I don't consider any location a bad one. There is an area with a statue of Goofy & an old Corvette Stingray that has the water jets that shoot from the ground. The landscaping was nice & the CMs were great too.

I know that probably answered zero questions for you, but I thought it may give you a general idea of what to expect.

Just back from there and my daughter LOVED it (she's 9). Some things she enjoyed:

*All the buildings have huge words on them that represent sayings from the different decades. She enjoyed asking me about all of them (especially "Whazzup" on the 90's building - or was it 80's?).

*The outside stairwells on each building are disguised by huge items from there era. I.e., bowling pins on the 50's buildings, Rubik's Cubes on the 80's buildings, etc.

*HUGE statues of things like Lady and the Tramp, A juke box, Play-Doh, etc.

I believe allearsnet posts pictures of all of these things. You can preview them before you go.
