Last month 5 of us moms took the kids (7 kids in all) to DisneyWorld for 7 nights. This was our first MNSSHP. We all got rooms together at the POP. I was very nervous about this. I had never stayed in a Value resort before. My DH is spoiled to the GF and when he goes with me and the DS & DD we always have to stay there.
I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the POP. As I said we stayed for 7 nights and we were never bothered by any noise. The rooms were quiet small, but I expected that. We stayed at the parks most of the day and night but we were comfortable when we were in the room.
We ate in the food court on several occasions and we found the food to be better than the counter service in the parks. We did do SEVERAL character meals in the parks too, though. At some times of the day the food court was very busy, but the kids would go play in the arcade or look around in the store while the moms got the food. We had no complaints about this.
We were in the 80's buidling away from the pool and when we go back I will request this area again. We had no walk-by noise ever. We did have quite a walk to the buses and the food court, but this was not that bad either.
Usually we never had to wait very long at the POP to get a bus where we wanted to go, but sometimes we had to wait a while for a bus to take use from the park back to the hotel.
Like I said, I was VERY worried about the POP but I would definitely stay there again, and I hope I convince my DH to sneak in a trip in March. I would get 2 ajoining rooms so everyone could have their own bed and space even though the kids are only 8 and 10. We are going in December 2005 and staying at the GF again, and I can't wait. DisneyWorld is my mostest favorite place.
