Hi...

Which buildings are kmown as "Preferred" and cost 10 dollars more?

thanks

We just stayed at the Pop Century in June, and we really enjoyed it. The prefered buildings are the 60s'. They are right by the main pool and the food court. No long walk at all. It really is worth the $10 extra.

Like the above poster said, it is the 60's section. If you search for a map, you will see that only a small amount of the rooms in the 60's are actually facing the main pool and closest to the main building. The rest of the 60's rooms face other sections or Hourglass Lake, with a distance the same or farther then a majority of the rooms in the 50's and 70's. Unless you can definetly get one of the rooms right next to the main pool, save the $10 per nigth and request a room in the 50's, or if you can't get that request the 70's!

$10 a night can add up to a nice meal!

In January we did PC, and did preferred, mainly because we had my neighbor's mom with us who has had double knee replacements and did want closeness. We were in the 60's building to the right going out of the lobby, but not facing the pool. We were just around the corner facing the 70's building. We had a two minute walk to the lobby, but as others have said, you can get close room in the 70's for $10 less. The only thing is, can they guarantee you a room in a certain building?? You do take the chance. And if you are in the second building of the 60 towards the lake, it still is farther away than the 1st 70's building. It really depends on why you want to be close and who is travelling with you.

Either way, good luck and have a good time.

We arrived back from the Pop on Saturday (yes, Frances chased us home a day early). We requested and got a room in the 50's. We were on the first floor of building A. It took us about 1 minute to walk to the Hippy Dippy pool and the main building. The only buildings that have any walking distance are the 80 and 90s and even they aren't very far from the main area. We wandered around one night to all the pools and everything is very compact despite the large number of rooms available at this resort.
My almost 8 year old daughter loved the pools and all the giant icons. You will have a blast at the Pop, it's just a fun place to stay!
