My friends are going to pop century I tried to stear them to Port orleans - my favorite moderate- so I am worried for them- I have not been there so please tell me the good, bad and ugly... will they wait for buses, how long are the walks to food court and how many loud teens are by the pools? I have stayed at AM and was not crazy about it long long waits for busses. Thanks for the trip please tell me if there is magic to be had there!

Last week was our first trip and we felt a ton of magic at POP! It isn't elegant or "quiet" like a deluxe, but it is fun and upbeat and very attractive. There were alot of families there but overall I did not hear a lot of noise, etc. We were in the 70's building and the walk to the food court was probaby 2 minutes at most. While the food court and gift shop always seemed busy, they were efficient with little to no wait.

We only took the bus once, to MK and we waited about 10 minutes. However, the Pop buses do not stop anywhere else, so it was quick. When we returned to the hotel, a bus was waiting at MK.

A great thing about the food court is that they have frozen coke! Yum.

My entire family loved it.

and yes, it is noisier than POR, but in a fun, bustling way.

We didn't wait any longer than 10 minutes for a bus anywhere, and, when leaving the parks on both Sat and Sun, at closing time, there were multiple buses. When the first filled up there was a second and a third waiting in the wings!! Very efficient!!

I did enjoy it, but probably won't stay there again, mainly because we are a family of 5, and I would need 2 rooms. One large deluxe is easier for us (but lots more $$$!!! )

Anyway, they should have fun!!

The good the bad and the ugly?
Sounds like you've heard the good - buses were pretty prompt. They kept track out front of the buses arriving, so were always able to tell us (if we just missed one) when the next was expected. Usually 15 minutes at the most. You are VERY close to MGM and Epcot. MK is the farthest.

We were in the 80s, and also VERY short walk to food court, bus stops. That was nice.

We've never stayed in moderates, but Im sure you get what you pay for. The rooms are small, but we had two rooms for 5, so its was nice. The fact that it is so new is extremely nice because I like things CLEAN, and it was very clean.

The food court was nice, although we only bought things "to go". Bring your own hair dryer. The pool areas are big, we didnt notice noisy kids because its cooler in January and peolpe weren't swimming as much! As for large teen groups, they still try to place them at the All Stars, from what I've read on these boards they have the check in services there for large groups.

I think they'll have a good time. Hope you enjoy!

Bring your own hair dryer.

I thought that hair dryers could be requested. I was hoping to leave mine at home. Afterall, I need room for my coffee pot!
