We're looking at an eight night stay: I can't drive (much) due to an injury. We're considering my going down with the friend first, then my husband arriving later. So, two adults, two kids under 3 with great umbrealla strollers and "backpack/front pack" carriers if we need 'em -- would my friend and I be able to do POP and the parks without a car?
I figure we'd leave resort-to-resort transpotation 'til DH arrived with the car/van.

My friend is on a budget and coming down as a favour so I'm thinking we could save $$ by not getting a car. I'mcovering her hotel and food as part of the free meal/YMP code anyway. :-)

PS - yes, my husband REQUESTED time away from the girls and less time at Disney. He's an overloaded stay-at-home-dad who runs a busy consulting business from home, so he actually likes this idea! I think the YMP deal is good enough for us to stay put when he arrives and do offsite stuff from POP anyway.

When we stayed at POP, we drove our car but it never left the parking lot. We found the bus system to be so efficient and easy we had no need for our car.

We were at Pop with 2 children for 7 days this past December. We drove our van because we wanted to have the freedom to go offsite, etc.

It stayed parked for the whole week!

We INTENDED to drive it, but it was just easier to board the busses ~ rather than figure out the driving & parking for the parks.

The only places that are a little harder to get to are the other resorts. If you want to go from Pop to, say Coronado Springs, for example. You have to take a bus to a park, then take another bus to CS.

Have a nice trip! :flower:
