Can anyone tell me which section I should request at Pop Century? I know the 60's section is the preffered section but we did not spend the xtra money. Which would be the next most convenient section. Should I request a room in a specific location. I would greatly appreciate any advice or info. Thanks Sandy : ::MinnieMo

We were in the 70's section and were closer to the food court and transportation than some of those in the 60's section. We requested 50's or 70's, upper level. Our room faced the courtyard rather than the lake. I think a lake view room would have been quieter, but where we were wasn't that loud. It was maybe a two minute walk to the food court, buses, and hippy dippy pool. The 80's and 90's is the furthest away from everything.

Thw 70's is great! We were right next door to CLassic Hall!

We had a 50's room and thought it was a great location. We faced the 60s and the lake was off to the right as you walked out the door. It was quiet but close enough to everything.

We stayed in the 70's section in room 6272 which was a corner room on the second floor overlooking the Foosball icons. Very convenient to food court/pool/etc. Would definitely stay in that section again.

We had the 90's last year and it was way too far from everything!!!! We requested the 50's when we booked in September I hope we get a room there!

My favorite is the 70s. The 80s building is okay if you don't mind cutting through the parking lot to get to the bus stops.

We stayed in the 50's in the building closest to the mail hall facing the pool. The room location was great. I'm glad I didn't pay for preffered b/c when we were walking around the resorts some of the rooms in the last 60's building near the lake seemed further than we were from the main hall.

The '60s building. Otherwise known as 'preffered room,' or that is what you would call it if you wanted to request it. It is the closest to the food court/lobby/gift shop. Also closest to the Hippy Dippy Pool.

50's section. I stay there EVERY trip now, ask for 4th floor end room, not near the elevators though, too noisy. :guilty:

In July, we stayed in the '50s, right behind the juke box, 4th floor..we did not have any trouble with noise, and did not find it that far to walk from buses even after a full day at the parks. The walk to the food court may have taken 4-5 mins, but not a big deal. We were even able to see the fireworks @ Epcot from right outside our door. We will without a doubt be staying here again.

OK, please understand I really do like Pop for a value resort! I have requested the 50s three times and have been placed 2x in the 80s (Roger Rabbit -- the other side of the 90s) and once in the 90s. It's not dreadful, but I would like a shorter walk! And Lady and the Tramp is probably my favorite Disney movie!!!!!

i have noticed that a lot of posts here, mention the 50's section at POP.I do to as well.We stayed there last year,2004,fourth floor backside, opposite the pool, saw the fireworks from MK and Epcot and loved it.Please thake these several reccomendations and ask for the 50's section. When checking in,Disney will already have a room assigned to you.If it is not in the 50's section, ask them to check for available rooms in the 50's,and to be placed there. You won't regret it.Stay on the 4th floor as we did.
