Hi, Looking for a hotel for Nov. 2nd-11th, 2018. We have never stayed at Pop Century, but are thinking of trying there. I saw that there are now some hotels in in the Disney Springs area that will get you 60 day Fast Pass booking privileges. Are any of them less expensive than Pop ($132/night) and worth looking at? I want to be able to easily access the Disney bus system also. Advice please....trying to keep the cost down, but want to book fast passes at 6o days out, plus use Disney transport. Thank you!

These hotels have their own bus system, so you would not be on Disney buses except to park hop or if you take it in the evening to Disney Springs and walk. Also they do not have the Magical Express from the airport.

You can get B Resort discounted VIA MOUSESAVERS for about $130 plus parking.

You can compare via this website http://disneyspringshotels.com/.

I would decide quickly, it's a busy time.

Thank you..I forgot about the Magical Express perk. I guess I better stick with Pop Century for this trip. I looked at the website you posted. I don't think I'm going to find anything less than the Pop with the things I'm looking for. Also, I thought that week (Jersey Week) is supposed to have lighter crowds? Has that changed in recent years? Thank you!!

Yes this is now a very, very busy time. The end of Food & Wine at Epcot (Nov. 12), Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend presented by MISFIT™ taking place November 1-4, 2018 and finally Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party nights kick off on Nov. 8-9 & 12-13, & 15-16.

And don't forget about Jersey Week and Veterans Day to add to the mix.

Jersey Week has been busy for years and part of it is all the things Dave listed that Disney has added to keep the place full. That spreading out of the F&W has certainly impacted the crowds - especially with the weather being nicer.

My family has stayed in the Disney Springs area hotels a couple of times. It was fine but the bus service doesn't compare to the Disney resort transportation. For MK you are dropped off and have to take the ferry/monorail, you aren't dropped right by the entrance. Instead of averaging every 20 minutes it was every 30 minutes, etc..

I just stayed at POP in February and had a great stay, I wouldn't see the upside to staying at a Disney Springs resort unless there was a really considerable price difference.

If you're seeing $132 at Pop I would take it! We stayed in February/March and our room was $177.

Keep in mind the cost of getting from the airport to your hotel.
Pop = free. Offsite hotel = cost of shuttle or car rental

If renting a car you'll also pay for parking at the parks and many offsite hotels.

If you'll be dining onsite then staying at Pop you'll be able to book reservations 180 days out from your check in day and book for entire trip up to 10 days.
If you stay offsite you can make reservations 180 days out from each day you wish to book.

For us we tend to favor staying onsite. Disney takes care of your luggage from your home town all the way to your hotel. No need to visit baggage claim at Orlando. When going home, check your luggage at your hotel rather than drag it to the airport check in. Ride Magic Express for free from airport to/from your hotel. No need for rental car.

Would have to save considerably for comparable room for me to stay offsite.

We are staying at POP for our trip next month. I did price out B Resort, because they are waiving resort fees if you book soon. It was $150 less than POP, but we would have to rent a car or pay for transportation to/from the airport for four people. Magical Express is one of DH's favorite things about the onsite hotels. We dislike renting a car in Orlando. It was not worth it to switch for this trip.

The Disney Springs resorts have their own busses that run every 30 min. Continuously. You can use WDW transportation if you are park hopping or going to Disney Springs. One benefit of B Resort is that the rooms are larger and it’s a hotel rather than motel style of Pop. The only thing you loose is airport transportation, but you can hire a town car company.

Personally I'd rather stay at B than at Pop. I don't like motel rooms.
