Is the bridge over the lake from POP to AOA open? If not is there a way to walk between the two resorts?

Generation Gap Bridge opened EARLY on May 31,2012.

There is a walkway all of the way around Hourglass Lake also,so it is possible to walk between AoA and POP without crossing the bridge.
