A little back ground first...My family, husband, daughter, grandson, and myself are going to Disney next September. We have booked at Pop Century ....problem is my 8 yr grandson is very scared of heights! So going on the Skyliner may not be a option for him. We will not have a car with us and I love the busses at disney.

I have been told that the only transportation option offered for Pop Century to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is the Skyliner. That bus service will only be added during busier periods.
Can anyone confirm that this is true? Thank you for your help!

I don't know. You could ask on the Pop thread - https://www.disboards.com/threads/disneys-pop-century-resort-information-questions.3821785/

I found this on the first page (not sure it is current) - When the Skyliner is running, buses do not run from Pop to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Buses are running from Art of Animation to these 2 parks even when the Skyliner is running so those who wish to travel by bus may take a bus from Art of Animation. Access to Art of Animation is by crossing the bridge across Hourglass Lake. It is approx. an 8 minute walk from Pop bus stops to Art of Animation bus stops.

yes as the previous poster said AoA has bus service to those parks and it is not a long walk to go over there to catch the busses. That resort is basically the same layout as pop so you will walk across the bridge and past the main pool through their building that houses the food court and checkin desks etc and out the other side to the bus stops.

Go to AOA for the Epcot bus. I did take an Uber from Pop to Epcot and that worked out great. We stayed at Pop and I do not like being so high but did decide to ride with my family. I was okay so long as it was moving. Just my luck it stopped. OMG it was getting hot fast and I was so stressed. Needless to say I will not ride again. I think it is a great option but not for people that do not like heights.

Do you have another reason for wanting to stay at POP? I would seriously consider moving my reservation to one of the All-Stars if I were not going to take advantage of the Skyliner. At POP you are paying a premium for a service you will never use and it will severely limit your transportation options to half the parks. Yes, there are buses from AoA but they are very limited in service, I believe I heard once per hour. That said, my then 7 year old hates heights, he doesn't even like slides that are too high. But the Skyliner was his favorite ride at all of WDW.

Agree with the PP, you will have to walk to the bridge in between Pop and AOA, (right past the Skyliner) and pass-through AOA to the front to get a bus to two parks. I would choose another resort if someone in my party couldn't use the skyliner.
