Pop Century Milk ?

K Im posting this in a couple different spots..Sorry..
Just wondering if anyone knows if you can buy Lactose free Milk @ pop or do i need to order it?
DS7 just diagnosed..Kinda stressed right now...

There's a sticky on the disABILITIES board that has a bunch of information in it. There is a section there on food allergies, and gives all of the contact information for a lady named Brenda Bennett who can send you sheets of information on where to get / buy special products like lactose free or gluten free items.

WDW is wonderful for people with food allergies - make sure your son's allergy is noted on your ADR's.

I know for a fact that they have soy milk in the grab and go section, but I'm not sure about lactose-free. Soy would be an option though if he'll drink it. I think the plain is kinda gross, but the vanilla and chocolate are good.

If DS7 can drink soy milk, then it comes in containers that you don't have to refridgerate prior to opening. They even come in single serving sizes. I'm going to buy it at home, and bring it to the resort. If you plan ahead, and don't have a fridge, you can chill the single serving in the ice bucket.

That is what we did for our second trip. Our first trip we bought some soy milk in the food court and put it in the fridge in our room. It spoiled because the room fridge really didn't cool enough.

Lactose intolarance and allergy are not the same thing as one other poster mentioned to note the allergies. It is definately worth mentioning when making your ADR's. There is also rice dream and soy ice cream available at the ice cream parlor in MK and many of the TS restaurants can get sorbet, ride dream or soy ice cream for dessert.

Actually, I can only drink lactose free milk myself and I had no problem at WDW -- it is available throughout the parks too, although sometimes you have to ask for it ie if it's not on the menu, they may still have it. But...rather than buying single serving sizes at the food courts, we bought them through Garden Grocer -- just a much better deal for something you want to have every day.

BTW, I definitely recommend the chocolate soy milk

And I'm wondering what another poster meant by the fridges not being cold enough? You can actually adjust the temperature on the small fridges. And soy milk should not spoil quickly at all -- it lasts longer than regular milk. If I opened some and found it to be spoiled, I would return it since it must have been sold that way.

We did return it. We even called the desk about our fridge. They claimed to have come to our room to fix it but we noticed nothing different about it. It barely even kept water cool.
