From what I've read/heard, I believe that construction still HAS NOT started again This resort is already AMAZING, not just for a Value but for any WDW hotel and once the other side opens (Legendary) it will complete the package!

As of December, 2004, construction remained on hold with no knowledge when it might be resumed. All of the buildings constructed to date are painted a dull earth tone to blend with the surroundings. They look a wee bit forlorn, but not really an eyesore. Saw a few vehicles over there occasionally during my visit, but probably just maintenance and security.

so is the bridge going over there roped off?
I did walk over this past Oct from the Caribbean Beach so I have some idea how Pop is set up - I didnt think at that time that we'd be looking into actually adding on time there

We rode by there on our way home from Epcot the other day, and it looks so sad. It is too bad that the buildings that aren't finished are what you see closest to the street. As much demand as there seems to be for rooms (especially affordable rooms), I would think they would want to finish PoP soon! I am surprised they didn't with the 50th aniversary celebration coming up, but maybe they decided to funnel the money into new attractions instead. NOT that that is a bad thing! I am very interested in seeing how the Legendary Years side will be decorated. I think staying in the 20's would be a hoot-- flappers and all!

I've heard there is no projected date yet too...I'm excited enough to try the Classic years, much less anything else
