I heard they are going to use the unfinished legendary years side of the Pop Century for the suites they are testing out at the All Stars, anyone heard this or know if it is true? Here is a link to the pic of the test AS suites:

You are referring to the Legendary years. The classic years is complete with no suites. I heard this awhile ago. When I was there last year and asked a CM at Pop they said that there are no plans to finish at this time.

IMHO I don't know why they were so ambitious with all those rooms. I can call Pop two months before I plan to go and get a room so that tells me they are having a hard time filling all those rooms so I don't see why they would finish the Lengendary years anytime soon.

However, if they do I think the suites would be a good idea.

If they were to add "Value Suites" Prices would all be messed.... Right now it is 77-115(or something) so obviously the suites would be more expensive but if they charge more than 135 why would you just fork over an extra 20 bucks a night to stay at a Moderate resort. I realize that the the moderates aren't suites but the atmosphere is better at POFQ than POP

The big problem is that none of the mods (except Pt.Or/RS, and those are small rooms) will accommodate 5 people. The new suites would be much bigger. I am very excided about the possibility.

Oh don't get me wrong I am would be very excited to have the suites come in... The pictures someone posted of the all star suites made them look really nice. I am just worried about pricing

The suites would be able to sleep more people than any of the mods (even POR Alligator Bayou can only sleep 5 and the trundle is small). Plus, the suites are suppose to have a kitchenette.

I think the suites are a great idea and will help bigger familes stay onsite.

Suites are also good for parents who want to turn the lights out for their children but not go to sleep themselves, or for families with teenaged kids of different sexes who need more privacy.

Currently, Disney does not have a competitive offering for families that like to stay at Residence Inn, Homewood Suites, and similar all-suite lodgings. Essentially. Disney is currently telling such families, "stay off-site!"

The only thing that comes close are nightly rentals of Disney Vacation Club condos, but they're substantially more expensive than Residence Inns.

I think Disney could be very successful with Pop Century Family Suites.

I have to agree that with these suites, more families would have the option to stay on site without booking two rooms. If the price of the suites is cheaper than the cost of booking 2 rooms, then it would be a benefit for bigger families. The kitchenette would also be great for families.

We own DVC and love the villas, but they are quite expensive to book on a cash basis for families.
