Pop century is not too magical

I read the comments on this thread and just had to reply. I've stayed at Pop three times and always had great experiences. Two of those trips were 14 night stays.

Room was always clean, buses were fine, CM's were nice - we even had one go way above and beyond for us to move our room after they heard me say I was bummed we weren't on the first floor. The food courts were always busy, but food was good, quick and well not super cheery staff was polite.

I know a stay can vary from person to person, so I just had to add my positive thoughts on Pop.

The fact that you are staying at a value should not have anything to do with customer service levels.

Agreed! It seems that the ops complaints have nothing to do with the level of resort. And food court food absolutely can be good. Disney proves this all the time.

We have been traveling to WDW for over twenty years. With the exception of Boardwalk(can't take the clown) and Swan we have stayed at every resort. My kids enjoyed Pop, but my dh said never again after our 1st stay. The room, although tiny, was in very good shape, although this was four years ago. Our issue was the mass confusion in the food court, no matter what time of day we went. We always visit the 2nd week of December and found Pop too crowded!! I would hate to see it Christmas week. Eating would be a nightmare. I'll probably get slammed but I will say that we have seen the "magic" at the resorts lessen throughout the years. CM's just don't seem as happy as they once were. With 2 adults and 4 kids, we have ventured off Disney on a few occasions. I feel like a trader, but we now need 2 rooms, and we are able to get so much more for our money outside the magic gates. It's funny years ago I would have said no to staying off, I'd miss the magic, but today, the magic seems lacking anyways.

WDW food courts can be a hit or miss. We love CBR as a resort. Lovely landscape, very nice housekeeping on our last trip in June 2012 & no problems with transportation. Also love the location of our room, always received our room requests. But we don't eat at the food court too often. Don't hate it but not thrilled with it either. We rent a car when we stay at CBR, so we shop for breakfast items. Plus we go off-site to eat or go to DTD for dinner.

I wanted to add another comment. We stayed at POFQ in June 2009 and thought the food court and the CMs at the food court were wonderful:)
