Our stay at pop century is to say the least, horrid. The staff at the food court is lazy, slow and uninterested. The food is lacking any sort of pizazz. The pizza bread and these fried chips that come with the sandwiches are the best items they have. Rooms are small and run down. I'd rather stay at a motel 6.

Did you address any of your issues while you were there? There is not a whole lot we can do from here to fix anything that happened once you have returned home - best to address them while you are there.

Yes, actually I did say something to the concierge, all I got was a thank you foR pointing out what was bothering me, and that she was sorry that I felt this way. I love disney and have stayed at pop century before, but the service really went downhill. I know I'll never stay at this resort again, I should have just went with riverside like my wife wanted. Now I'm the bad guy.

First of all all the value food courts have been having problems lately and most are getting redone I would think the pop would be next on the lists. The rooms are only supposed to fit 4 and they're not supposed to be deluges that is what you get at a value and that what you need to expect. A value is a value. I have always stayed at values and I love the pop we spend most of our days at the parks so there is no need for an upscale hotel room if your looking for that go to the poly or GF or something of that nature don't rant and rave about a value that gave you a value experience. You make your experience when staying at a value and I have never had a problem at a value. Food courts are food courts if you want fine dining go to the parks or go to another hotel that has a good restaurant that is what we do and when staying at a value you need to realize that.

I have to say I find this with all food courts.

Are you still on vacation? If you have a few days left, why not switch resorts? Don't spend the rest of your vacation somewhere that doesn't make you happy. See if POR has a room available.

I've stayed at all the values except art of animation. I too only use the room to sleep, refresh, and get ready to go to the next park. There is four of us in a room, so you would think it would fit four, well it doesn't. I've been lucky enough to come to wdw many times, I'm just saying that the workers in the food court suck. Not the cashiers, they're great, but the food service workers are horrendous. Lazy and uninterested is what I said. I know that there are plenty of other places to eat in the world and next time I will reassess my situation. But I will never come back to pop, GF and the poly are not options for me because I'm not made of money. I have one more day, so ill make the best of it. I did think of switching resorts, but I hoped it would get better. One good thing is the busses are for this resort only.

Sorry you've not enjoyed it, I wont say it's a budget trip and you should expect budget as that won't help. Maybe you should put in writing and send it to PC, I'm sure your letter will be taken into serious consideration :thumbsup2

If you are still there, do not let this go. I had an ongoing issue when i stayed at BC, and after a few times if dealing with it, I went to the resort manager. The fact that you are staying at a value should not have anything to do with customer service levels.

First time posting... We have stayed at the Pop many times and have always had a wonderful time. That being said, if you had issues with food/employees etc....I would most certainly talk with a manager. I realize your trip is over soon, but do take the time to explain the reasons to the resort manager. I prefer the Pop Century because it really is a good value
and we are pretty much only in them to sleep. I like to spend our money elsewhere..parks/dining/ and cirque for examples. I am sorry that it did not meet your expectations.

I love staying there. However, I almost never eat there. Much more interesting places to eat elsewhere. If the only issue is with the employees in the food court, then drop WDW a line about the issues, or find a manager (not a resort concierge) while you are still there.

The rooms are no smaller than any other value resort, and small rooms are expected at the values.

What were you expecting to get? Really all I'd expect is a confirmation that your concerns have been heard and will be passed to management.

I've stayed at Pop and it's been fine. Admittedly, my expectations are not all that high because let's face it, you get what you pay for. The service in the food court may be a legitimate issue, but the rooms should be no surprise. They are value, which means small. And just because you "can" fit 4 people in the room doesn't mean you "should." Our kids are still young but we've outgrown value sized rooms.

I've stayed at Pop on many occasions. Just returned from a trip that included 4 nights at Music and 2 at AoA-LM. I find that most of the food court CMs/workers are okay, not great but okay. I'm not sure what happened to make you feel that they were lazy. Perhaps you could give an example?
Room size? Not all that much smaller than POR-FQ rooms. It is nice to have the double vanity but that's about it. I will say that the toilet/tub area in the values is roomier than at POR! I think AoA-LM rooms are even a bit smaller than the other values. It could just be a perception thing but it did seem that way to me.
I will never stay at an AllStars again. I hated it. We stayed at Music and got put in the Country Fair section. Made for very long walks to the food court. I did it two mornings and then said forget it! The whole resort is just sort of blah to me. I think that after staying at Pop and AoA, the AllStars just pale in comparison.
I like Pop. I didn't find the rooms to be run down but it's been a year or so since I was there last. And you may have had bad luck and got a ill-used room. I had that happen to me at SSR last Dec!!!! It was just nasty.

I will say that I wasn't overly thrilled with most of the food offerings at the AoA food court. It was okay but just.

I don't think that every resort is for every person. Each person will have their own needs and likes. I own at both BWV and BLT, but like to stay at the other, regular resorts on occasion. I like POR but don't like the room rates they seem to charge!!! So, if I'm paying cash, I usually go with a valued. But not Music again!!! That's for sure.

I will agree on the food court. We won't use it again after being told not once but twice that our buzzer for a take out pizza did go off and we were out of range (we were right there in the food court). And the second time was very rude.

But, the rooms are the smallest on the property so that should have been expected since you stayed there before - what made the difference this time? The room size hasn't changed - maybe more luggage? Another person? We don't know that and since you have previous experience, I would have thought you knew what to expect.

I just returned from Pop Century and I didn't see anything run down. If you were not satisfied with your room, you should have asked to be moved.

Sorry you won't be returning.

I too have stayed at the Music Resort. My first time at Disney I knew nothing about "preferred rooms" and I was put in Country Fair...:rotfl:..what a walk! It seemed forever! I certainly found out why they asked with a smile..."Is this your first visit with us?" Didn't take long to figure out preferred rooms were the way to go! I really like Pop...it suits our purpose and allows $$$ for us to enjoy other Disney delights! If I were rich, I'd stay at the Poly and a few other dream places! Never say never!....I was at Pop just this past October and it was fine.

I agree with you here I can't say anything about the food court employees because wi haven't stayed at the pop in a while and I have never stayed at a deluxe hotel ever and I wish I could. I'm just surprised your room didn't fit four of you we had no problem so thats one thing but the food courts at the values have been an ongoing issue and it seems like they are working on that.

Hi
I would ask to speak with the manager while you're there. I won't stay at Pop anymore because the beds are so hard and they gave my daughter-in-law a really bad backache. I think I've stayed at Pop about 7 times. I spoke with the manager and asked to see if we could move to a moderate. We would just pay whatever it costs for that room. He then surprised us with a free upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge and even gave us a voucher for a free taxi ride!! Don't be unhappy with where you're staying. You deserve a vacation that makes you happy.

I would ask to speak with someone.. We got moved to a suite at AOA last year. Disney does try to ensure you are happy and that you'll be back! :) too much money- not to enjoy!

Did you get moved from Pop to an AOA suite because something was wrong? **eeek*** I hate hearing bad things about the resort I am staying at next trip. eps!

OP I would talk to a manager for sure. At least you know now that Pop is no longer a good fit for you all!
