Friend of mine was asking about POP and his family consists of himself, DW, DN-14, DS-5 and DS -2. If the 2yo was to stay in the port-a-crib would they be able to stay in a POP room? I think yes but said I could find out for him. Anyone know for sure?

Yes, you can add a baby under 3 to just about all wdw resort reservations.

However, expect POP to feel crowded with 4 people and a crib.

I'm assuming that money is an issue in deciding to go with the value resort. So, I'd add the suggestion that they plan their packing and organization carefully.

There are lots of suggestions around these boards, but one of the best is to bring hanging shoes holders. People use them to store toiletries in the bathroom. I think you could likely put one on each side of this door to hold other items in the room. And, I've often wondered why people don't talk about bringing one for their closet to hold their shoes too!

If their luggage is sized such that they can pack it into itself and put a single suitcase away in the closet (or ask bell services to store it) that will also help. (Living out of the suitcase may seem simpler but can make an already crowded room unmanageable).

FYI, there are no closets in the value and miderate resorts, just a hang bar near the sink.

I've stayed in the value resorts, and consider the "hang bar" to be awfully closet-like. I actually figure that the lack of a door makes it more useable in a small space.

Perhaps it's just my perspective from having spent many years living in dorms and in Japan.

I still think that if you can put all of your bags in the rather difficult to get at floor-space beside the sink it makes a big difference in space.

Here are a couple pictures of the rooms at POP which may help you to decide

will we be able to fit a twin sized byob? Son and daughter don't really do well sleeping together?

Well I've stayed at POP twice so I know what the rooms look like thanks*S* Money is a consideration for my friend. The difference between a value room for 6 nights and a moderate POR room with a trundle bed is $450.00. Besides the 'closet', these rooms also have a dresser/entertainment unit for clothes. In March we had 4 of us in it(myself, DW, DS2 and DN14 and never really felt crowded because all it was for us was a place to sleep and shower. All I wanted to know was if they'd let my friend have them all in there.

When our 2 sons would no longer sleep together we brought a twin size air mattress and placed it in the area where the table is and moved the table over to the window. I think we may have deflated the mattress each day (brought a pump) but left the table by the window during our stay.

Thanks that's what we'll do then if all else fails we will just ask them to remove the tablet. I don't want to have to do that if I don't have to. The bed literally sets up in 2minutes it has it's own built in pump. So we'll be fine. I should mention we are only a family of 4! Just have the millionaire's family and they are beginning to dislike sleeping in the same bed. On they way down they'll have to as well as on the way home!

Because we drive to WDW and it will be well packed in the car. I am notunpacking the car for a few hours of sleep.

we are going in January with 5 in the room...myself, DH, DS4, DD2 and my Mom...we have decided to take one of those "sleepover beds" for DS...just a glorifed airmattress with characters on it, but not as big as a reg airmattress as it is made for kids...comes with it's own air pump...very lightweight...own bag....can get them just about anywhere...I think i saw them in this years Sears Wish catalogue for under $40.00 and also some at Walmart for about $30.00....some come with their own blanket...so know what you need and what you are paying for.;)

Yes they will allow it. I'm leaving next Friday and there is myself, hubby, and a 9 year old, 7 year old, and a 1 year old. From what I was told I had my choice of either the baby sleeping in a pack n play or a crib. Hope this helps.
