Pop Century Eyesore!!!

Is it just me or does anyone else think the new Pop Century Resort is a big eyesore??

We just went to the world for Thanksgiving. It is always a big thrill to drive under the big WDW entrance sign. But this time off to our left you could see the Pop Century. I think it really takes away from the entrance.

Anybody know if they will be planting trees or something so that you cannot see it when you are driving through the entrance?

I rarely find much to complain about (Disney wise)...and I am all for "quirky"...but this is just really...really bad!!!!

Driving by reminds of driving by a neighbors house several years ago. There were always big wheels and pop bottles all over the lawn and driveway.

I think that the problem lies in that it is PINK! It seems that after the whole 25 years/pink castle cake thing, Disney should have known that large buildings + the color pink = a nightmare. Is the whole think pink? I have only seen pictures. I can appreciate the All Stars Resorts (in fact I love the All Stars) with their large icons and fun/tacky theming but the pictures for Pop Century really look bad!

Oh boy did we hate the castle looking like that! My family was disappointed that when we went on our Disney trip this pink thing was the background of our pictures..I'm glad they've opted not to do that again.

Then we will all be complaining that the views are obstucted. Like around World Showcase Lagoon, it's real hard to find the open spots anymore for viewing Illuminations.

Disney has to appeal to everyone. and you all can flame away, but I LOVED THE PINK CASTLE and I LOVE POP CENTURY (at least the pics I've seen so far).

Usually I am so enamoured of the entrance to WDW, that I don't even pay attention to Pop Century. Once the trees grow back, we will hardly notice it, and the only people who will have to look at it are the ones paying to do so!

That miserable Pop Century resort needs a major facelift before it opens. I wonder how that monstrosity ever made it past a test group? I under stand that some people like the design, but the seem to be so much in the minority that I wonder why Disney ever went ahead with it.

I'm so glad I'm not alone!!! I usually love everything Disney- but this place is just awful and I wish that they would not have made the resort visible from the entrance.

Here's hoping they give those trees a good dose of Miracle Grow!!
