Pop Century - classic years?

When we were staying at Pop Century in August, it looked like the 'other side' (Classic years?) of PC was a ghost town - no work being done over there at all, just a few shells of buildings. Of course, this was during a lull in the long chain of hurricanes, so I didn't expect too much activity over there.

Is the project still continuing? Has anyone seen any signs of progress recently? Any word on a finish date?

My daughters and I really loved our stay at PC, and would love to try out the 'other side', when/if it gets completed.

I've heard that they have delayed the finishing of classic years until there's an increase in tourism. Once things start getting busy enough that Disney needs more value rooms, then they'll begin working on it again.

THE CLASSIC YEARS IS COMPLETED IT IS THE LEGANDRY YEARS WE ARE WAITING FOR. 1900,1910,1920,1930,1940. IMO IT SEEMS A WASTE TO JUST LET THE BUILDINGS STAND AND NOT FINISH THEM. IT REALLY DETRACTS FROM THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE VIEW. WHEN I WAS THERE THIS PAST SPRING I ASKED SEVERAL WORKERS AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO PLAN AT THIS TIME TO FINISH THE RESORT. ONE GOOD THING THOUGH NO BUS SHARING AND I AM SURE WHEN IT IS DONE IT WILL SHARE A BUS. I WILL BE THERE IN JUST SIX WEEKS FOR 10 DAYS AT POP WITH MY BF WHO IS GOING TO ASK ME TO MARRY HIM ON THE STEPS OF CINDERELLAS CASTLE ON 12/12 AT MVMCP...I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED. I JUST ORDERED SHIRTS FROM THE DC AND HAD "HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM CINDY AND DON ENGAGED AT CINDERELLAS CASTLE WALT DISNEY WORLD 2004"PUT ON THEM. BF AND I KNEW EACH OTHER OVER 35 YEARS AGO IN HIGH SCHOOL. WE WENT SEPARATE WAYS AND THEN REUNITED THRU CLASSMATES.COM SO ITS LIKE A FAIRY TALE COME TRUE. I AM A DISNEYAHOLIC THIS WILL BE MY 50TH TRIP AND HIS FIRST SORT OF(LONG STORY). ANYHOW I KNOW WE WILL HAVE AGREAT TIME AND HAVE A ZANY TRIP REPORT WHEN WE GET BACK.

You should contact classmates.com and tell them your story!!!! They would HAVE to do a show on you. That is one of the best and most romantic stories I have ever heard!!!
