Do you have to have a park ticket to get into the Rainforest Cafe at AK entrance (I don't think so, but I've always had a ticket and never paid attn)? Assuming no ticket required, I'm guessing it would be faster to go to AK Rainforest over the DS Rainforest?

Do you pretty much have to take skyliner from Pop to HS and EP because of limited buses, or is it an option?

Is it quicker to take skyliner between parks (I guess HS and EP only via Riveria) or buses?

Thank you

You don’t need a park ticket to get into the Rainforest Cafe at AK.
It would be very difficult not to use the skyliner if you are staying at Pop if you do not have a car - the buses only now comes for HS and EP at one hour intervals.
In terms of what is the quickest way between parks, I think it would depend on where you were going in Epcot/coming from in EP. It is definitely quicker to take the Skyliner then the boat though and there is no waiting for a bus so unless the bus is their I would presume skyliner would be quicker.

Thanks - I know that the DS Rainforest isn't avail. yet for reservations and AK's was, so we took it for now. Is it correct that you can only travel by skyliner between EP and HS (and not the other parks) with a connection at a hotel ( I thought maybe Riveria but could be something else)? We still haven't tried the gondolas. We generally only take buses between parks except monorail between EP and MK. I think we may have tried a boat between HS and EP before but don't really recall if that was any faster. Of course, early in the re-opening, there won't be as much of a need with no park hopping.

Yes, the only parks the have skyliner are EP and HS and you have to change at CB - the route between EP and CB stops at RR but you can stay on.

The skyliner from Pop to HS is very quick, even with the change at CBR, and it drops you off right at the park entrance. I highly recommend using it for your trips to HS!

The trip to Epcot is longer, but still nice. 20-25 minutes from Pop to Epcot. But I enjoyed it more than buses because we had our own gondola every time and the trip, in my opinion, is more scenic.

No. As a previous poster stated, you can take a bus, but the buses only come once an hour.

Everybody using the Skyliner who is not ending at Caribbean Beach needs to transfer at that station anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear on the question about the skyliner between EP and HS. I meant, is the skyliner only available for travel from park to park (not from pop), between EP and HS, and not HS and MK for instance, and aardvark stated yes.

20-25 min to EP does seem slightly long but if that includes waiting for your gondola then that seems better than the buses, given it could take 20 min before one even arrives at resort. And now there will be like a 25 person limit plus assigned seating by driver that will take longer to board and depart w/ social distancing. Less guests, but still think bus transportation could take longer.

Agreed. We did have a delay when we used the skyliner from Pop to Epcot around Riviera Resort, so maybe others have had faster travel times. I do like that it drops you off at IG, which means I can grab breakfast in France before heading to our first attraction.

THe skyliner is much faster. In january we left the Pop lobby, walked to the skyliner, rode the skyliner to Hollywood Studios, went thru bag check and tapstiles and we’re standing in HS in 25 minutes.
Even if the bus was already at the bus stop, you probably couldn’t get there after by bus.

If we want a Rainforest reservation, coming from MK after a 7pm close and going to Pop after dinner. Do you know if it's faster to go to DS RF or the one at AK, from MK? I'm not sure that we'd do much else at DS other than walk from one end to the other... but I guess if it's a direct route from MK to DS and we don't have to go to a resort first, maybe we'd consider DS. Don't normally do a lot of shopping at DS.

AK closes at 6 now, so you may not be able to get there after 7.
Looking at the AK RFC, the last ADR you can get is at 6pm.

Will be interested to hear people's experience with bus transportation from Pop Century to MK or AK. Many people have mentioned limited bus service, and am curious to know how good/bad it really is.

Limited bus service? Or socially distanced bus service? Actually fewer buses at longer intervals? Or fewer passengers per bus?

Our experience with POP busses: Fewer buses to EP and HS when the skyliner is OPEN for the day. MK AK and waterparks are about the same frequency as last year. The skyliner can be so much faster. We like to retreat to the room once in a while so we used Skyliner a lot once we got familiar with it. Enjoy the views.
