POP - Best Building

what is your favorite POP building/Year and why?

60's FOR SURE!!!!! Even if you dont have a preferred room (which we never do), you will still be in a great location close to the main building. We stayed at the playdough building, facing the lake. SOOOOO CLOSE to the main building, yet its nice and quiet. If you face the pool, theres a lot of noise.

i'd ask for 60's for sure. Both 50's & 70's are also good choices, but not as good as 60's IMHO. :thumbsup2

We loved the 80s building. Near the computer pool. It was much quieter and the pool wasn't crowded. Great place to relax after a day at the park. And a wonderfully themed area.

We stayed at the 60s bldg facing the pool. But as far as my favorite POP Century.. It has to be the Rubik-cubes era.. The 80s!! :goodvibes

60's Building...it was close to the main building and right in front of the hippy dippy pool. we stayed there in November and loved it.

1950s building #3 (room 3432) - top floor

watched the illuminiations fireworks nightly!

Last two visits to pop had us in the 1950's which was a very short walk to the main building and that area was nice and quiet (the times we visited)

:thumbsup2 We saw that too! We walked to bldg #3 top floor and was able to see the fireworks. I'm surprise no one was around us. Maybe they didn't know that they can actually watch the fireworks from this bldg. I know it's nothing compared to staying at the Epcot area.. but it's something!

i have a couple:
i like the 60s on the 3rd floor facing the lake. it's quiet and it's right by the bridge you can walk on. the walk to the foodcourt is nice too.
50s - i think it's the 3rd bldg., and it wasn't considered preferred when i went and it was diagonal to the pool.
usually not my favorite but we were put in the 90s, facing the parking lot where you can see the bus stop BUT the advantages are you can walk right thru the parking lot to the bus stop, you can watch illuminations every night @9 from the balcony.
70s - 3/4 floor facing the big wheel and fooseball, pretty view to the lake also. not far to the foodcourt.

60's & 70's is great. 50's is good too, but I prefer one of the other two. Esp 60's.

80s theme is fun, but its way too far from the main building!!!

sounds like the 60's are the tops! i will be happy at any building but maybe we get the 60's.

thanks for all the feedback. 53 days!

I requested the 50's section, lake-view, top floor and that is exactly what I got :woohoo: I was in building 3 and could see the top of the Tower of Terror, the Swan and the high Epcot fireworks :yay: My only suggestion is that they trim some of the trees that block the lake view even on the top floor :rolleyes1

Our first stay at the Pop was last June. We stayed in the 50's section and loved it. We were facing the lake. I agree that 60's is more convenient, but 50's was just a teeny bit further from the bus stop, food court etc. Plus it was a few dollars cheaper than the 60's preferred. Actually, I loved the Pop, which was a surprise to me. I have stayed at WL, AK, CB, FQ and enjoyed my stay at the Pop the best.
