Pop and Twirl Mania?

Hello. We were planning to book a quick trip to Pop Century February 14-17. I just found out it is one of the host resorts for the annual Twirl Mania competition. I'm not overly concerned about the food court or the busses, but a good night's sleep is a must. I would rather not be surrounded by large groups in the night. If I pay for a preferred room will we be ok? I would think the Twirl groups would be elsewhere in the Resort. Or would we be better off paying for a Little Mermaid room at AoA? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Actually there isn't that big a difference between the locations of regular and preferred rooms so I'd still be concerned about noise.
